He quickly distinguished himself in the 1st AirCav Division, earning selection into the 75th Army Ranger Regiment and rising to Corporal at an unusually fast pace. In 2023, during a classified joint operation in the Middle East, his unit encountered an anomalous event that resulted in multiple casualties and an immediate containment response by the SCP Foundation. Vohlm was designated a surviving exposure asset and taken into Foundation custody for interrogation, testing, and containment processing.

In early 2024, a Chaos Insurgency extraction operation intercepted a Foundation transfer convoy, resulting in Vohlm’s capture and subsequent interrogation by the Chaos Insurgency. Recognizing his combat training, leadership capability, and psychological resilience, they recruited him rather than terminating him. He adopted the alias Bobby Zentrum or “Warsmith” and rapidly integrated into the Insurgency’s structure, operating primarily as a Breacher and Explosives Specialist. By late 2024, he had risen to the rank of Staff Sergeant within Insurgency, known for blending conventional military experience with his own personal doctrine.

Personal misconduct and violations of Insurgency operating procedures eventually led to his outcasting. Stripped of rank, identity, protection, and left with great shame, he vanished from Omega-2’s networks and transferred into an off-grid Insurgent Cell. In early 2026, he re-emerged under his real name, Arlo Vohlm, no longer operating as “Warsmith,” but as a hardened, unaffiliated actor shaped by state military doctrine and insurgent warfare, carrying a reputation that precedes him and a past that neither side fully controls anymore.
