This privacy policy explains how the Personal Assistant Android app (package com.chandrakantrohi.personalassistant) accesses, uses, stores, and shares information.
Calendar notes, reminders, tasks, expenses, income entries, transaction text that you paste or share, step totals, preferences, and Photo Vault content are stored locally on your device. Photo Vault files are encrypted and stored in the app's private internal storage. The app does not upload this locally stored content to a developer-operated server.
Notifications: displays reminders and alerts you create.
Physical activity: counts steps on supported devices.
Calendar: imports calendar events only after you request calendar access.
Location: obtains your current location only when you request local weather.
The Play Store version does not request permission to read SMS messages, call logs, contacts, or notification history. Bank or UPI message text is processed only when you explicitly paste or share it with the app.
When you refresh local weather, the app sends latitude and longitude to Open-Meteo to return weather information. When you use online translation, the text you submit and the selected languages may be sent to Google Translate or MyMemory translation services. News headlines are retrieved from Google News RSS. These services process requests under their own privacy terms. Do not submit confidential information for online translation.
We do not sell personal data. Information is disclosed to the network services described above only to provide the feature you request. When you choose Share, WhatsApp, email, restore, or export, Android sends the selected content to the app or location you choose.
Local data remains on your device until you delete it in the app, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. You can delete individual expenses, notes, reminders, and Photo Vault items through their respective screens.
Photo Vault uses Android Keystore-backed AES encryption. No method of storage or transmission is guaranteed to be completely secure, so users should keep their device and PIN protected.
The app is a general productivity tool and is not directed to children under 13.
This policy may be updated when app functionality or data practices change. The effective date above will be revised when changes are published.
