This PC has been in the making for a long time. I started to get into the PC building scene when the i7-4790k was the king. Then I got into designing SFF cases for fun, and now I finally have my own mini PC. Took a month to look at parts comparisons, pricing, and compatibility, but the hunt for parts was worth the wait.
I would still like to improve the airflow and maybe design my own case in the future.
3 months after building the PC, it shorted itself.
For the next 8 months, I would troubleshoot it 1 piece at a time. Trying a new motherboard, set of ram, 3x cpu's, and all of these things.Â
The problem in the end was the AC cord being broken inside. After replacing that, other problems kept coming. More RMAs for the power supply and damaged cables, so more waiting.
Until it was finally solved and stable!
