PRIVACY POLICY — AI Perfume Identifier Scanner

This Privacy Policy describes how AI Perfume Identifier Scanner ("we," "our," or "the app") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our iOS application.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
1.1 Photos and Images
When you use the scan feature, you provide photos of perfume bottles (via camera or photo library). These images are sent to our AI service provider to identify the fragrance. Images are processed for identification only and are not stored on our servers after processing.
1.2 Data Stored on Your Device
The app stores the following on your device only (not on our servers):
• Saved identifications (perfume name, brand, notes, and optionally a copy of the image you scanned)
• App preferences (e.g. theme, onboarding completion)
• Credit and subscription-related data needed for the app to function (e.g. free credits, daily grant timing)
1.3 Subscription and Purchase Data
If you subscribe, Apple processes your payment. We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat may receive anonymized identifiers and purchase status so we can unlock premium features. We do not store your payment details.
1.4 Automatically Collected Information
Our AI provider and RevenueCat may receive technical data such as device type and IP address in the course of processing requests. We do not use this for advertising or profiling.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
• To provide perfume identification using the images you submit
• To save your favorites and collection locally on your device
• To manage your subscription and restore purchases
• To improve app stability and performance
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.
3. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
• AI / Identification: Your images are sent to an AI service (via our API provider) solely to return fragrance identification results.
• Subscriptions: RevenueCat is used for subscription management. Their privacy policy applies to data they process: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
• Apple: In-app purchases and subscription billing are handled by Apple. Apple’s privacy policy applies to those transactions.
4. DATA RETENTION
• Images sent for identification are not retained on our servers after the response is generated.
• Data stored on your device (saved identifications, preferences) remains until you delete it or uninstall the app.
• Subscription-related data is retained as long as necessary for billing and support and as required by law.
5. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES
• You can stop providing photos at any time by not using the scan feature.
• You can delete saved identifications from the Collection section within the app.
• You can delete the app to remove all locally stored data.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID subscription settings.
• Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Contact us (see below) to exercise these rights.
6. CHILDREN
The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have received such information, please contact us so we can delete it.
7. SECURITY
We use industry-standard practices to protect data in transit (e.g. HTTPS). Images and requests are sent over encrypted connections. Data on your device is stored in the app’s sandbox and is not shared with other apps except as described in this policy.
8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will be revised when we do. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
