Privacy Policy for PerFin

PerFin ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application, PerFin (the "App").
1. Information Collection and Use
Local Storage & Offline-First PerFin is designed as an offline-first application. All financial records, transaction logs, budget plans, and goals you enter are stored locally on your device in a secure SQLite database. We do not transmit this data to any external developer-controlled servers.
Google Account & Drive Backup (Optional) If you choose to enable the Google Drive Backup feature:
The App will request access to your private Google Drive App Data folder (specifically using the drive.appdata scope).
This scope only allows PerFin to create and access its own backup file (named perfin_backup.json). The App cannot read or access any other files in your Google Drive.
This backup is uploaded directly to your own Google Drive storage. The developer has no access to your Google Account details, emails, or backup files.
Biometric Authentication (Optional) If you enable local device lock, the App utilizes native OS biometric APIs (Fingerprint / Face ID) to authenticate access. We do not collect, store, or have access to your biometric data.
Advertising (Google AdMob) PerFin displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. The AdMob SDK may automatically collect:
Device Identifiers (Advertising ID) for ad personalization
Approximate Location for geo-targeted ads
Device Information (model, OS version)
This data is collected and processed by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device's Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.
2. Information Sharing We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your personal or financial data with third parties. However, our advertising partner Google AdMob may collect device identifiers and approximate location data for ad delivery purposes, as described above.
3. Data Deletion You have complete control over your data. You can delete all locally stored transactions and databases at any time by selecting the "Reset All Data" option within the App settings. To remove backups from your Google Drive, you can delete the backup file or disconnect the App's permissions in your Google Account security settings. To revoke Google Sign-In access, visit myaccount.google.com/permissions and remove PerFin.
