The Rotary Club of Peninsula South was chartered on 16 April 1992 with the sponsorship of Rotary Club of Peninsula and PDG Arthur Au as advisor. It was formed with the former Rotaractors including CP Albert Yau, PP Ada Ng, and PP Cynthia Lee. Our club was one of the first to include both male and female members, and has continued luncheon meeting every Thursday at the Peninsula Hotel, with Cantonese and English as our official language.
We strive to create meaningful and sustainable service projects that will enrich and support our local community, and is one of the highest contributors of Rotary Foundation in our district. Some of our ongoing services include elderly blood testing, student mentorship, and ping-pong learning for the underprivileged. Additionally, we continue to promote the idea of service and pass on the experience to younger generations through sponsoring our Rotaract and Interact Clubs.
Rotary is a global network of 1.4 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.
Solving real problems takes real commitment and vision. For more than 110 years, Rotary's people of action have used their passion, energy, and intelligence to take action on sustainable projects. From literacy and peace to water and health, we are always working to better our world, and we stay committed to the end.
