PennyWise ("the App") is provided by the developer identified on the Google Play listing. This policy describes how the App handles information when you use it on your Android device.
## 1. Data stored on your device
PennyWise is designed as a **local-first** bookkeeping application. Your transaction records, categories, budget settings, and related app data are stored on your device using local storage mechanisms (including Android's Room database). This data is not transmitted to our servers by default simply because you use the App.
## 2. No account required
The App does not require you to create an account with us to use core features. We do not operate a cloud sync or backup service as part of the default App experience described in this policy unless we clearly disclose otherwise in a future update.
## 3. Information we do not intentionally collect
We do not ask you to upload your full financial history to our systems for the core functionality described above. We do not sell your personal financial data.
## 4. Google Play and your device
When you download or update the App from Google Play, Google may collect information according to [Google's Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy). Your device may also provide crash diagnostics or usage statistics if you have opted in through your device or Play settings; those flows are governed by Google and your device manufacturer, not by this App's own servers.
## 5. Contact
For privacy questions or requests related to this policy, use the contact method shown in the App's Info screen or on the Play store listing (e.g. support email).
## 6. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the revised policy.
If you would like to learn more about our privacy policy, please visit our Privacy Policy website or contact us by email.
