This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). PennyFlow is designed to be an offline, privacy-first expense tracker, ensuring that your financial data remains entirely in your control.
Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the application.
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. PennyFlow operates 100% offline. All information you enter into the App—including your income, expenses, categories, transaction history, and wallet balances—is stored locally on your personal device using local database storage (Hive).
No Cloud Sync: We do not upload your data to any cloud servers.
No Third-Party Access: We do not share, sell, or rent your financial information to any third parties because we simply do not have access to it.
To function correctly, PennyFlow may request the following device permissions. However, none of these permissions are used to track you or collect data remotely.
Storage/Files Access: (If applicable) This permission is solely used if you choose to export your transaction reports or backup your database locally to your phone’s memory. We do not access your personal photos, files, or media.
Because PennyFlow is built to be a standalone offline application:
We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, or any other tracking software to monitor your usage behavior.
We do not display third-party advertisements, meaning no ad-networks are tracking your interests or location through our App.
The App does not require an Internet connection to function.
Since your data never leaves your device, the security of your financial information depends entirely on the physical security of your smartphone. We recommend that you:
Keep your device protected with a PIN, password, or biometric lock (fingerprint/Face ID).
Regularly back up your phone to prevent data loss in case your device is damaged, lost, or stolen.
Our App does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. Because our App operates entirely offline, children can safely use it without the risk of their data being transmitted online.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted.
Since you are the sole owner of your data:
You have complete control over the information you input.
You can permanently delete all your data at any time by using the "Reset Data" option within the App's Settings menu, or simply by uninstalling the App from your device.
