Penn Pritchard
- speaker - facilitator - consultant -
Penn Pritchard, MAT is an educator and lifelong learner
who is passionate about cultivating equitable, inclusive school communities.
Their work is informed by over 15 years of experience in the classroom, working with both youth
and adult learners. No matter the audience, Penn strives to make big ideas highly accessible via an eclectic,
research-informed instructional style that is dynamic, challenging, collaborative, engaging, and responsive to
the needs of each group. They are adept at supporting deep comprehension through a combination of direct
instruction and facilitated interactive exercises, group dialogue, and personal reflection.
Knowledgeable, authentic, and empathic, Penn invites each
participant in their workshops to think deeply, engage wholeheartedly,
and commit actively to educational equity and justice.
As a 2019 awardee of the Carney Sandoe/ADVIS Equity in Action grant, Penn spearheaded
the Instructional Fidelity in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Initiative at AIM Academy.
Their work was documented by filmmaker Andre Robert Lee in a short film,
"Equity in Action: Pushing for Progress in Our Communities",
highlighting the three inaugural projects funded by this grant.
