David Fu is a freshman from Short Hills, NJ, who plans on studying math and CS. He has competed in PUMaC, HMMT, and AIME. He is also part of the drumline in Penn Band and a game dev club called UPGRADE. In his free time, he enjoys watching anime, reading manga, and playing chess and video games.

Forest Ho-Chen is a third-year in SEAS. He is also the founder of MATES in Philly and treasurer of the Penn Astronomical Student Association. In high school, he founded MATES to promote Mathematics, Arts, Technology, Engineering, and the Sciences to students at all levels, founded the GS Math and Beyond Club, and captained the very successful George School Varsity Math Team, winning many team championships, winning an individual championship in the 2020 Philly Varsity Math League, and placing 7th in Math Madness 2020. Last, but not least, he represented Team USA in the 2021 International Astronomy Olympiad.
Darren Zheng is a junior from the small town of Jim Thorpe, PA. He is currently in the College of Arts and Sciences studying Mathematics and Statistics, looking to go for a PhD after graduating. Apart from Penn Math Contest Club, he is a member of Science Olympiad at Penn and Student Activities Council. In his spare time, his hobbies include cooking and casual photography.
Eric Tao is a third-year at the University of Pennsylvania studying mathematics, cognitive science, and who knows what else. He is one of the co-founders of PMC, alongside Darren Zheng. In his spare time (no matter how limited that is at this point!), he enjoys playing piano, uploading to his YouTube channel, and (as of the time of writing) is currently 1% through an embroidery kit. He plans on going to graduate school in computational neuroscience.
Jerry Liu is a freshman in the College of Arts and Science planning on studying mathematics and statistics. Since middle school and throughout high school, he has participated in various math competitions, including the AMC 10 and 12, ARML, PUMAC, HMMT, JHMT, and Purple Comet. Aside from PMC, Jerry also is a member of the Chinese Calligraphy Club. In his spare time, he enjoys gardening, reading, hiking, and music composition.
Bo Sun is a second-year in the School of Engineering and Applied Science majoring in computer science. He has participated in many math competitions in high school and college, including USAMO, HMMT, PUMaC, and Putnam.
Jessey Shin is a College first-year studying communications and sociology. They are involved in design and social media work for PMC, and spend a lot of time writing (for their blog and also Penn's student newspaper). They would like a cat but are allergic to them—tragic!

Alex Kalbach is a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences, submatriculating for a master's degree in mathematics. His passion for math began in elementary school, but was truly realized in middle school when he joined the MathCounts club in 6th grade. Ever since then, he has been involved in competition mathematics, and is excited to inspire this passion in others through the Penn Math Contest. Outside of classes, he spends most of his time participating in various music ensembles across campus, playing double bass with the Penn Symphony Orchestra, clarinet with the Penn Wind Ensemble, and baritone with the Penn Band. He will stay in Philly working as a quantitative trader with SIG after graduation.
Santiago Velazquez is a senior majoring in Math and Logic. As a former Ecuador math olympiad participant, he is passionate about creating thought provoking problems. He looks forward to attending grad school.
Elena Isasi Theus is a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences studying Mathematics, Physics, Biophysics and Biochemistry within the Roy and Diana Vagelos Scholars Program in the Molecular Life Sciences. She helps with the Problem Writing Committee at PMC and is translating exams to Spanish. She is also a member of PUMS and AWM, loves Mathematical Biology and does research in the field, and enjoys theater, reading, writing, and cooking. She is submatriculating in math and applying to PhDs in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics or Biophysics at the moment.
Anna Nguyen holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honors degree in French and Francophone Studies as well as minors in Chemistry and Mathematics from the University of Pennsylvania, class of 2022. She is currently a Teaching Assistant for the Department of Mathematics at Penn. She is also a violinist in the Center City Chamber Orchestra in Philadelphia and hopes to attend medical school one day.
