Pejović Guitars is a small developing family business primarily focused on crafting uniquely designed high-end guitars. Thanks to their never-ending love towards guitars and common passion for music, the brothers Andrija and Ivan have trusted their wives Gorana and Tamara with turning their long-lasting guitar building hobby into business. We are also dedicated to repairing instruments, making music in our home studio and building a strong community of musicians and music lovers amongst the hills and rocks of Cetinje, the town that shaped us and brought us together. We are governed by the vision of our youngsters taking over what we've started: continual guitar-building, music-making, community-strengthening growth that will eventually spread worldwide.
The first Pejović guitar was born out of curiosity, necessity and fun some 20 years ago. This experiment, still fully functional, flared our imagination so we continued experimenting and innovating with every successive guitar we made. Being raised in an artisan family, we used the tools and materials we had at hand and made all guitar parts that we could ourselves. So, we started winding our own pickups and handcrafting nuts, bridges and knobs. Thrilled with the results of our work, our close musician friends were the first owners of our guitars, some of which were developed through active cooperation. The support of our friends kept us going until 2019, when Gorana, Andrija's wife, suggested we try and develop a family business out of our hobby. Recognized by Montenegrin Ministry of Culture as a potential constituent of creative industries in our country, we were given further support for designing our first 3D model for small serial production that we conveniently named Vertigo. We developed 6 & 7-string designs and Vertigo 6 has already found 4 new owners.
Repairing guitars is actually how it all started. By mending and modifying the first electric guitar we got, we thoroughly studied the instrument and forged an unbreakable bond with it. Since then, Ivan has become THE guitar master in Montenegro and has done wonders with countless guitars of all kinds. Apart from that, many have relied on him for solving certain issues with other instruments as well.
And what better place to test all the work we do than Pejović Home Studio. For years Andrija's been upgrading it and learning about music production, all while composing and recording numerous pieces of his own music. Little by little he's made our studio available for renting, recording, producing, jamming and most of all having great time in the company of music.
We all love sharing and giving insight into our practice and progress, but none of us more than Gorana. Being a licensed Montenegrin tour guide, she figured it would be beautiful, fun and useful to reserve Mondays and Fridays for welcoming tourists to our town and our home with the aim of providing them with a unique and unforgettable experience - the Resonating Cetinje Experience. Willing to show you around town from the perspective of a true citizen of Cetinje, Gorana will also introduce you to our team, our workshop and our home studio, and all of us will make sure that the experience fully resonates.
