O mal da morte

Os epicuristas defendem que a morte nunca é um mal para quem morre.  Muitos dos que se lhes opõem concebem o mal da morte em termos de uma privação de bens futuros. Outra posição é a de que a morte é má na medida em que frusta certos desejos ou planos do indivíduo.

• Será a morte um mal de privação?

• Será que a morte é um mal porque frusta desejos ou planos de quem morre?

• Será que, como sugere Lucrécio, a inexistência post mortem não é pior do que a inexistência ante vitam?

• Será que, como sugere Epicuro, a morte não um é mal porque não pode ser má em nenhuma altura?
