Peckwatch is a browser extension that checks web pages you choose for changes.
What it stores. For each watch it stores the page address, the part of the page you picked (a CSS selector), or that you chose the shop's own product price and stock data, plus your alert settings and the recent values it read (for example "£19.99, In stock"). All of this stays in your browser's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local) on your computer.
What it sends. Peckwatch does not send your data to the developer or to anyone else. It has no server, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. To check a page it requests that page directly from the website, as your browser would on a normal visit, using your normal cookies for that site. If the site refuses that request, Peckwatch tries once more without cookies. For some shops built on Shopify it also reads the shop's public product file (the product address followed by .js). If a website refuses Peckwatch's background request, Peckwatch reads the page you have open, or briefly opens the page in a background tab, reads the part you chose and closes the tab. This happens on your computer only; nothing is sent to anyone.
Site access. Peckwatch only gets access to a website after you click "Pick a price or text" or "Watch product price & stock" or "Watch the whole page" on that site and approve Chrome's permission prompt. You can remove access any time at chrome://extensions.
Payments (if Pro is offered). If you buy Pro, the payment is handled by our payment provider (ExtensionPay/Stripe or Lemon Squeezy), which receives your email and payment details under its own privacy policy. Peckwatch only stores whether your licence is active.
Deleting your data. Delete a watch in the dashboard, or uninstall the extension to remove everything.
Children. Peckwatch is not aimed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.
Changes. If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at the same address with a new date.
