An Ode To A New Age

The year 2023 is finally here and it is gathering momentum baby! When we first met, it felt like it was about to be the longest year, but the moment the 15th of Jan hit, everything started moving at Godspeed. Literally blinked once and was in a totally new part of the world with tons of things awaiting my attention. Take me back! I hate it here :( but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

I wonder what 2023 is gonna be like. December of last year brought me some blessings that I'm gonna be reaping for the rest of my life and I'm eternally grateful to the higher power for a terrible year ending with a bang. However, there's still a road ahead to walk through and I'm just curious how the path will be. I have PTSD guys. I'm not being negative, just wanna be prepared :).  

I think the first plausible existential crisis I ever had was centered around why we spend all our lives planning, hoping, praying, and planting as if fate isn't already set in stone. It wouldn't matter what we did or didn't as it is beyond our control, so why do we practice these behaviors? That was before I discovered vibes and the metaphysical world. Now that I'm aware that we truly can influence fate, it has become a natural part of my life to live, breathe and think intentionally. Let's "pray"!

Dear 2023...

I think I speak for everyone when I say we've seen it all. The 2020s have been nothing short of crazy. I promise, our characters have been built and our lessons have been learned. Our experiences have helped us grow and we've become wiser as purpose intended. So please 2023, can you just give us a break and let us practice what we've learned. I'm on my knees! May we please be given the chance to be alive and actually like it?

This year, I hope we all get the chance to taste the fruits of our labor. I hope one of these days we look at what we've been trying to master and it makes sense. May we not only succeed but excel academically and financially. Every day this year, we will wake up and take a spoonful of hope with our coffee. We will not back down or lose courage. We will achieve financial security without the mindset of scarcity. Money will reach us and we will share and circulate it until those same notes touch our palms once again. For those of us that are almost there, may this year be a year of leveling up. May we reach new paradigms of success and prosperity. Everything that belongs to us will be perfected for us by our higher power.

I hope that gym membership stays paid and is actually used this year sis. That home practice, keep it up! It's helping you glow. May this year find you a safe environment - safe both physically and mentally. There'll be no physical threats on our lives this year. There'll be no weapon forged here on earth or anywhere else in the cosmos that will come and harm us and our families. We will be the picture of health itself and we will take care of ourselves whole fully and intentionally.

Our mental health shall take several steps forward and we will stay on our healing paths. We will check in with ourselves and we will allow our loved ones to check in on us too. We will find and know serenity this year. We will choose ourselves rightfully so, and we will use the peace that comes with this practice to take care of those around us. We will build healthy boundaries and learn to not let anyone cross them, not even ourselves. By the end of this year, our inner child will be so proud of us! We will hug them and finally move towards healing our inner teenager. 

Those issues will either sort themselves out naturally, or we will learn to let go of that toxic friend/significant other/parent. Our relationships will flourish this year. There will be nothing short of harmony between us and our family members, friends, or partners. That which doesn't work out will be left in the hands of the higher power and we will not fight it. Our emotions will flow like water but we will master their control. This is not a drill. This is real life, and we only get one. So this year, we will laugh more, get angry less, forgive quicker, love freely, and LIVE! We will live. 

This is the year in which we will reach self-transcendence. We will learn to understand our higher power or learn to understand ourselves better. We will honor and follow the divine compass placed within us. We will honor and respect our sentience and the sentience of other creatures. We will learn all that is virtuous and learn to understand our place in the world. We will find and master everything surrounding our purpose and we will become who we want to be. We will ponder some more, meditate some more and grow each and every day. 

So, 2023, if you thought this was your playground, know that it is ours too. We will walk hand in hand and we will see this through together. So please behave. Thanks. 

In case you were wondering...

Metaphysically and astrologically speaking, this year and a couple to follow, will be years of well-rounded transformational change. Very influential planets are making huge moves this year.

With Saturn going into Pisces in March, expect great creativity and spiritual development. This year is a chance to train your artistic abilities and to grow spiritually. So gather your scrolls and sharpen your pencils.

An interesting fact is that for the first time in 15 years, Pluto is changing zodiacs, moving from Capricorn into Aquarius this year. This move means a transformation that will shake us from the ground up but don't panic. It's just here to challenge the status quo. Aquarius is associated with progress, innovation, and revolution. This is gonna be an interesting age for technology, medicine, and governmental and societal structures. Pluto will challenge the status quo in Aquarius until the year 2044! Can't wait to see what this age brings.

Jupiter, the party planet, is moving into Taurus on May 16. Fortune will really shine on Taurus this year. Taurus is associated with purpose, finances, and pragmatism. On a collective level, this age of Jupiter in Taurus has the potential to bring about positive ecological and economic change. 

On April 20th, there's gonna be a total solar eclipse in Aries and a second solar eclipse on October 14th in Aquarius! I wanna see those so bad but maybe they'll only be visible in the USA :( I don't need to tell you how much influence an eclipse can add to your manifestations. I hope your journal is ready with stuff to bring to life.

I also think you should know...

There'll be like four Mercury retrogrades this year. Yup. You can panic accordingly. The last retrograde was fine for me but the shadow period did quite a number on me (huh). God save us all. Interestingly the retrogrades will be during Earth sign seasons so this means just challenges in your structures, routines and schedules. This is a chance to embrace spontaneity and change. Go with the flow! Dates are:
