We are the Peak Academy of Dance chapter of the National Honors Society for Dance arts. NHSDA stands for the National Honor Society of Dance Arts, and is linked with NDEO, which is the National Dance Education Organization. Our Peak NHSDA chapter is entirely student governed and student directed, and we are proud to have one of the most involved chapters in the state! We are a student lead club, with the goal of supporting dance arts, as well as to recognize outstanding artistic merit, leadership, and academic achievement in students studying dance, and to foster an appreciation for dance as a true art form and one worthy of recognition and prestige.
Students gain points by taking class, doing performances, participating in outreach events, fundraisers, assisting, teaching and attending meetings. Once students have the required points for either the Jr. or Sr. chapter, they are inducted at the final ceremony of the year. Due to NHSDA being a student-run club, communication, motivation, and self-discipline are all heavily pushed to ensure success.
