I get a disconcerting error 'bong' noise every time I pause the music from my computer, or even, every time a streaming song ends and the next one begins - the half second delay is enough to make my bose headphones decide to play an annoying sound.

The NFL and Bose, as part of the Football Is Family campaign, documented the creative process of NOCCA students who created the featured song 'Shut 'Em Down' for the Saints Thanksgiving game against the Atlanta Falcons.

A group of students from NOCCA (New Orleans Center for Creative Arts) created a song for the New Orleans Saints that the team used in its hype video for the Thanksgiving night game vs. the Atlanta Falcons.

The NFL and Bose, as part of the Football Is Family campaign, documented the students' creative process and released a video Thursday morning featuring the song, Shut Em Down. Saints players Mark Ingram, Cameron Jordan and Alvin Kamara surprised the students as they were recording the song and gave them tickets to the Thursday night game at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. The game is at 7:20 p.m. and will be broadcast by NBC.

The promotional video of the song, featuring Imran Khan, Vir Das and Kunaal Roy Kapur, has been directed by Sajid Shaikh.

1______________________________ is an Indian lyricist and playback singer who works in Telugu films.[2] Chandrabose debuted as a lyricist with the 1995 film 4_________.[3] In a career spanning over 25 years, he has written lyrics for about 3600 songs in over 850 films.[4][5] Chandrabose won an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award for the song "Naatu Naatu" from 5___ (2022). He has received one National Award,[6] two Nandi Awards, two Filmfare Awards, and three SIIMA Awards as a lyricist.

Chandrabose is born in the village of Challagariga of Warangal district, Andhra Pradesh (now in Bhupalpally district, Telangana), where he completed high school.[1] He is the youngest of four siblings, and his father worked as a primary school teacher.[1] He earned a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad.[5][7] Early in his career, he tried working as a singer in Doordarshan, without success. He then decided to switch to working as a lyricist.[7]

He entered the film industry with Muppalaneni Shiva's film 6_________ (1995). Music director M. M. Srilekha helped him with his first film song, "Manchu Kondallona Chandramaa" in 1995.[1][3] He adopted Chandrabose as his screen name on the advice of his first director Muppalaneni Siva.[1][2]

We see Glover glide through the creative space, highlighting just how busy (and hectic) his life is. From naming fruit-based beverages to building a studio for "Tyler" (the Creator?), Glover does it all. As the ad wraps up, a familiar song of Gambino's begins to play. It's the track "35.31" from his criminally underrated album, 2020's "3.15.20." It's a perfectly chill and upbeat track to end Gambino's chaotic Bose ad.

The inclusion of the song "35.31," which briefly plays as the ad wraps up, shouldn't be ignored. The upbeat but tonally self-aware track is about Gambino discussing the act of "trapping," or selling drugs. The Bose ad features two distinctive lines from the track: "Little Foot, Big Foot, get out the way" and "Quarter brick, half a brick, whole brick, ayy (Ayy)." Both verses acknowledge Glover's trapping behavior, with the first line discussing how he navigates like Big Foot, while the second verse highlights the product he's selling.

Is Glover pointing out how he's moved beyond traditional methods of "trapping" and acknowledging how promoting products, like the Bose ad, is how he "traps" now? Perhaps. Or maybe the song just sounded cool in the ad, which promotes Bose's QuietComfort Ultra Headphones.

Songs these days are going down the drain. One of the reasons why we still remix old evergreen songs because songs of our generation are not worth getting remixed. I guess people these days just want peppy and catchy beats..they forget what the song has to say. Oh well.. I am thinking...what next?? What's the next cuss word in line? Anything is expected from the film industry these days! Very well written! Thumbs up!

it's a common joke among men and they all know its meaning. a friend of mine, like you, did not realize it until much later and sang the song at the top of her voice in a crowded cafe! we all played along and had a good laugh at her expense :P

After having heard that song once, and knowing what is intended in the song, I am off to repeat the rosary saying RamRamRamRamRam... and you know what it sounds like :)

Cheers,

Blasphemous Aesthete

I seriously don't understand how did the censor board approve of this song...just imagine small kids singing this song...even though I belong to this generation, I just can't approve of this song...it's really disgusting Restless, really disgusting...

And Restless, I had commented long back on "100 posts-100 blogger pals"...do check it out...thanks for the mention..I really appreciate it! :)

Umm.... agreed. We were watching TV, me and my parents, and this song started playing. By the time I could locate the remote, the first verse played loudly and I was embarrassed like hell. Seriously, I dont get why people find it cool to associate themselves with slangs.

And where the hell is the censor board now :|

Btw, the music of the song is good though :P

I'm glad to c that a guy of this generation disapprove it.... I saw a number of young boys and girls writing happy comments about the song on some websites.... i was aghast!

Oh, u read that post.... seems i forgot that.... u were irregular in blogging those days... so may be.

Zephyr...... join the club of ladies u cundn't understand it.... me, Alka Gurha and now you!!!!!

On a serious note, yeah, it was not expected of Aamir..... they are having a party enjoying the success of this song!

I did not really get why so much attention is paid to the song...At least in parts where i live expletives are frequently replacing full stops in sentences so it was not a big deal to me but then again i dont watch tv with my family nor i have kids to worry bout:)

Hi, You know I heard so many people talking about this song and I was like, what's bad in it? I heard it 2-3 times to know what is the objectionable word in the said song. I was going to google about it today but stumbled upon this article through indivine. :P

Now I know what's the problem with the song. And I've been singing this song for many days all the time. LOL! Even still I don't know what this word mean, but I have 'overheard' many people using this abuse so I know it is a derogatory word. Well, all I can say to you is Thanks for this otherwise I would singing this song at the top of my lungs in front of god knows how many people. :(

Shilpa.

okay, i have to admit , I've heard this song only a couple of times and i din know there was something wrong with it till I read your post. will give the song a hear and will come back and read this. maybe i'll understand what you mean.

p.s; i was kinda stuck at the nakkadwale song to care about this one. :P

Well! "DK Bose" sounds cheap or not, has to be running down to an individual's perspective. The problem is not in the song, but it's actually in the way we want to relate it's meaning.

I would here agree with Anshul's "Rosary" comment, that's almost similar...

Anyway the post was well written| :)

Seriously, the creativity should be used in the right way rather than using it by including the abuses and objectionable words in the songs. Even in Chracter Dheela, they have used RAASLEELA. They have not even left God, women at least comes in human.

I think it's about time bollywood watchers begin growing up. The background music to this song is fantastic and if you don't read too deeply into it or start analysing lyrics, you can enjoy what to me, is the introduction of Tarantino'esque music (think Kill Bill) into Indian cinema :)

I do agree, slang is overrated and more often that not unnecessary, but then... Tom and Jerry advocated violence to the sounds of beautiful jazz/opera music...

Embrace and alter, not refute and anger :)

You have a good blog and expect me come over again again..:) I am clean bowled because I missed out the hidden meaning too. Just yesterday I asked my son who is actually Bose DK they are referring to in this song and he was clueless too LOL.

Solving your problem of why Bose DK is a "gaali"."Bhosdi in Hindi means a vagina, and if it's simply taken as 'one who came out of a vagina' there would be technically nothing wrong, but then this is taken as a slang can be for two reasons. One, as I read somewhere, that being of a female origin has not been taken in history as a 'strong' thing, even though technically it would be idiotic, and another one that I could think about was because a slut can be called bhosadi wali, literally one of the vagina. There's a possibility that bhosadi ke is understood as someone born of a slut."Source: -bose-meaning.html

Why take everything so seriously? Kids today are more exposed to the world than ever before, through the internet, social networking and in general. It would be naive to believe that if a kid isn't aware of expletives, he/she would turn out to be an angel, or otherwise.

It's a fun song that uses the language of the street and that's why it has that instant connect. And not to forget, it's one heck of a song. Plus, it's not a movie for the kids, it's got an Adult certificate.

I know I'm going to be pissing off a lot of "goody goody" people out here but that's a risk I am willing to take. 5376163bf9
