Arc 8: Chapter 11
When Jin Ran saw Lin Yuan’s message, he had just come out of the shower.
After months of working out and receiving Lin Yuan’s caring feeding, Jin Ran was no longer a thin and delicate looking teenager. His muscles showed obvious smooth lines when slightly flexing, and his healthy body gave him an aura mixed of reliability and sexiness.
As he wiped his hair, he could only read the text’s first few words on the lockscreen. Jin Ran’s face darkened.
Why did Lin Yuan suddenly tell Father and Mother Lin about them?
Did Lin Yuan decide to end this play?
Was he… going to be abandoned?
Jin Ran tossed the towel onto the bed, grabbed his phone, and left the dorm.
In the middle of the night, Jin Ran wandered around for a long time, like a lost ghost. He leaned against the wall of a campus building and wanted to laugh and cry at the same time.
If Lin Yuan wanted to end it, so be it. He didn’t care at all…
Good thing he didn’t like Lin Yuan that much anyways… only a little. Just a little bit.
That miniscule feeling would fade soon, he was sure.
He’d forget Lin Yuan soon enough… very soon…
Jin Ran turned on his phone. The white light of his phone screen projected a dealthy paleness on his face, and his eyes seemed as still as the bottom of an abyss.
He opened WeChat.
Finally reading the full message, the teenager’s eyes rippled with confusion.
Suddenly, he pinched his thigh with all the force he could muster. He was afraid this was some absurd dream that would disappear in the next moment.
But the pain in his leg was real, it wasn’t a dream.
Jin Ran read the message over and over and over again. He confirmed, and then confirmed again, only after endless confirmation did he manage to suppress his wild heartbeat and type out a reply.
[Jin Ran: Ok, wait for me to go home.]
[Jin Ran: =3=]
After sending his message, Jin Ran leaned heavily on the wall and covered his eyes with the back of his hand. He took a deep breath but he could hardly calm down. He felt like a beggar who suddenly received gold, feeling both elated and frightened.
Love made him feel unprecedented hope, but the painful past made him afraid, hateful, and wary of gains and losses.
What to do? He liked Lin Yuan even more…
Now it wasn’t a little bit…
He liked him a lot…
【Di! Congrats host, the villain’s blackening value has decreased from 96% to 50%.】
After Lin Yuan sent his message, Jin Ran’s blackening value suddenly increased all the way to 96% for some reason, giving him a jump scare. Luckily, before Lin Yuan could panic for too long, the blackening value fell again.
Lin Yuan guessed that his husband was overthinking again.
What a kuudere~ t/n kuudere = outwardly cold/indifferent, but very passionate to people they love
Lin Yuan thought his husband was super cute like this, he wanted to dote on him even more!
Lin Yuan had originally thought Jin Ran would play with his feelings to take revenge on him, but reality showed that his husband really loved him the most~
Lin Yuan kicked his feet on the sofa in happiness, my husband really loves me~
Lin Yuan also really loved his husband~
The first years had half a month of military training. During this period of time, Lin Yuan went to school every day to bring Jin Ran a love bento.
Every time Jin Ran received the food Lin Yuan made, he inexplicably felt like he was experiencing a married life. He was both happy and a little embarrassed.
If only Lin Yuan was actually his wife…
After military training ended, Jin Ran decided to move out of the dorms and find his own place to live. He used the money he earned over the summer to pay for the apartment’s rent.
The apartment had one bedroom, a living room, one bathroom, and an office room. The bathroom was so small there wasn’t even space for a bathtub.
But Jin Ran was satisfied. This was the first and only place that belonged solely to him.
Jin Ran brought all sorts of small furniture and decorations online. In two weeks, the house became a warm and cozy living space, just like the most ordinary home in the world.
The next Friday, Jin Ran was restless in class throughout the whole day.
He could only think about once class ended, Lin Yuan would be waiting for him at the gate. But today, instead of going to Lin Yuan’s place, Jin Ran planned to take Lin Yuan back to his apartment.
When he walked out of the classroom building, he saw Lin Yuan standing in the shade of a tall tree. The soft sunlight shone on Lin Yuan’s milky colored shirt, and he was as beautiful as a doll.
Jin Ran walked over and Lin Yuan naturally held his hand, smiling as he said: “Let’s go.”
The teenager tightly gripped Lin Yuan’s hand, feeling suddenly conscious of every breath and movement as he tried to form the words in his throat.
“I… I rented a place outside the dorms. I… I left something there…”
Jin Ran thought that even if they just went to his apartment to take a look, just a glance, he would be satisfied…
Lin Yuan noticed Jin Ran was panicking and hugged the other in distress. Without caring about the eyes around them, Lin Yuan kissed him and said: “You rented a place? Then let’s not go back, that’s more work. This weekend we can stay at your place.”
Jin Ran’s dark eyes cleared and his breathing steadied. The fall scenery in Lin Yuan’s amber eyes was the most gorgeous and warm scene he had even seen.
He hugged Lin Yuan’s waist closely like a drowning man grabbing onto the only driftwood. Jin Ran said slowly: “Ok, I’ll take you.”
【Di! Congrats host, the villain’s blackening value has decreased to 47%.】
Inside Jin Ran’s apartment, Lin Yuan looked around curiously like a kitten and liked everything.
When Jin Ran saw this, an unprecedented relief surged in the bottom of his heart, which gave birth to stronger greed.
He wanted to lock Lin Yuan up where Lin Yuan would always be in his sight, within his reach.
So that Lin Yuan could never escape or abandon him.
Jin Ran hugged Lin Yuan, who was still happily exploring, and kissed the back of his slender neck, leaving a wet mark.
He bit Lin Yuan’s earlobe, and his hot breath heated up Lin Yuan’s heart.
“Bunny, make sure to be quiet later. The sound insulation isn’t good, it wouldn’t be good to let other people hear you.”
Lin Yuan unconsciously let out a small moan and then hurriedly covered his mouth: “Really? Then what should I do? I don’t know if I can hold it in…”
Jin Ran kissed and sucked the other’s soft lips. It wasn’t until Lin Yuan whined softly that he extended the tip of his tongue and invaded the other’s wet cavern, stealing the teenager’s oxygen.
Even though he wasn’t sure if Lin Yuan would come here, Jin Ran had already prepared the things. This time, he took out the mint flavored one, which tasted quite refreshing.
Lin Yuan laid on the sofa and felt like this time was even more torturous than all the times before. It was all because he had to hold back for fear of being too loud.
In the evening, Lin Yuan was carried into the bathroom. Because there was no space, he had to lean his whole body weight on Jin Ran. The feeling of being tightly wrapped around by Lin Yuan was addicting, and Jin Ran didn’t want to stop.
Noticing this, Lin Yuan wanted to cry, he really couldn’t do it anymore. After thinking about it, he got off Jin Ran and knelt down.
When everything finally ended, Lin Yuan laid in bed and pulled on the teenager’s hair aggrievedly: “Is it just because I haven’t done it in a while, why do I feel like you’ve grown bigger?”
Jin Ran smirked and pecked the other’s pouted lips: “Well, do you like it?”
Lin Yuan blushed and turned his head away, not wanting to answer. But he was caught by Jin Ran who asked again: “Bunny, do you like it?”
Lin Yuan stared into the teenager’s burning gaze and surrendered. He nodded slightly: “I like it.”
Jin Ran got his answer, but he wasn’t satisfied. He actually wanted to ask, do you like me?
But he didn’t have the courage to ask this question. He didn’t even have the guts to say his own feelings out loud.
【Di! Please note the villain’s blackening value has increased to 48%.】
The system prompt completely confused Lin Yuan. He couldn’t understand what triggered Jin Ran’s fear or unhappiness.
Lin Yuan had a vague realization that if he wanted to save Jin Ran, the state of things right now was not enough, and something was missing.
But what could it be?
