Arc 7: Chapter 18
During the nine months that Lin Yuan had been in this world, this was the fifth time he encountered Wei Feng’s rut.
With a pale face and scars that seemed to drip blood, Wei Feng said hoarsely: “I’ll go to the isolation room.” He turned to leave when Lin Yuan jumped barefoot off the bed and hugged the man’s waist from behind.
“Don’t go!”

Lin Yuan hugged Wei Feng with all of his strength and his eyes that looked at the Alpha’s ruined glands were full of heartache: “Wei Feng, I’m not being stubborn. I’m your Omega…”
He paused and then changed his words, saying with determination: “No, Wei Feng, I’m your lover.”
The word ‘lover’ was rarely used in society now. Wei Feng felt a bit at loss when he heard the youth say this. The scent of ice cedar seeped out silently, faint and cold.
Wei Feng turned around, holding the small and slender Omega tightly in his arms. His large hand that covered the youth’s shoulder gripped with a strength that seemed to anchor into one’s bones.

His Omega should be like a rose under the sun, blooming freely, beautiful and brave.
That was good enough.

“Okay then, I take it back.” He cupped Wei Feng’s face and kissed it apologetically. Lin Yuan wrapped his legs around the man’s waist, and said softly: “Wei Feng, don’t worry too much. Your rut period will be just the same as other Alpha’s, and nothing bad will happen.”
Wei Feng’s heart softened into a puddle. He had the urge to cherish his Omega even more, and simultaneously couldn’t hold back his desire to completely possess. Even his fingertips were trembling with desire.
The chandelier light turned off, leaving only the faint moonlight to illuminate the two overlapping figures.
