Arc 7: Chapter 14

Lin Qian’s hovercraft stopped in front of Imperial University’s front gate. As soon as Lin Yuan got in, his collar was caught.

“Brother, what are you doing?” Lin Yuan looked at Lin Qian in confusion.

There was no smile on Lin Qian’s handsome face: “You even have to ask? Take off your neckband and let me see your glands.” If there was any hint of a mark, he resolved to break all of that dog Alpha’s teeth!

Lin Yuan understood that his older brother was caring about himself. It was undeniable that an Omega’s position in society was weak. After being marked by an Alpha, an Omega would be tied to that Alpha for life, like their property. Even if it was possible to get rid of a lifetime mark through a mark removing operation, the side effects would be harmful both physically and psychologically. After all, a lifetime mark was the process where an Alpha’s pheromones would completely integrate into an Omega’s body, so removing the mark would be like removing a part of one’s body.

Lin Yuan unlocked his inhibitor neckband and obediently showed Lin Qian his glands. His skin was tender and clean, with no marks at all.

After seeing this, Lin Qian’s anxious heart finally calmed down. Thankfully, his family’s little bunny’s glands haven’t been bitten.

As Lin Yuan relocked his inhibitor neckband, Lin Qian said with as much gentleness as possible: “Then… has A’bai seen that Alpha yet?”

Lin Yuan nodded unthinkingly: “Yeah, A’bai really likes him and his quantum beast.”

Lin Qian instantly ground his teeth and his spiritual power became turbulent. This meant that his family’s bunny little belly was touched!! And probably rubbed all over! He couldn’t help but grab a bottle of wine and pour himself a glass, attempting to comfort his sorrows with alcohol.

Lin Yuan looked blankly as his suddenly alcoholic brother and asked: “Brother, what are you doing now?”

Lin Qian glared hatefully at the ignorant bunny. The wine burned down his throat, bringing him back to his senses a little. Thinking that he would have to host Count Hoffman and Chu Yu at home, Lin Qian only drank one glass, but his anger didn’t dissipate.

Lin Qian’s long fingers traced the rim of the glass, and he tried to ask casually: “A’yuan, your boyfriend’s a soldier, right? Do I know him?”

Lin Yuan wasn’t tricked and said innocently: “I think he’s in the military but I’m not too sure. Brother, do you want to guess?”

Hearing this, Lin Qian suddenly felt melancholic. His younger brother had really grown up, and was harder to fool. He missed the little bunny who used to ask for belly rubs.

“I’m not guessing. Just tell me who that Alpha is.” Lin Qian said directly.

Lin Yuan didn’t answer, but said confidently: “Brother, I know what I’m doing, you don’t have to worry about me. I’ll tell you everything when the time is right, okay?”

Lin Qian had no idea where this confidence came from. The belly had been rubbed and Lin Yuan still had the confidence to say he knew what he was doing? For the first time, Lin Qian wished his younger brother had more of a backbone.

The hovercraft stopped in front of the Lin family’s residence. Before they entered the villa, Lin Yuan tugged at Lin Qian’s sleeve and whispered pleadingly: “Brother, please keep my relationship a secret.”

Lin Qian agreed. If their grandpa or father knew that Lin Yuan was dating an Alpha, they would probably lock him up at home.

Tch, why did his family’s bunny have to worry so much because of an Alpha? That dog Alpha was really not worthy.

Lin Qian pinched Lin Yuan’s soft cheek with some resentment: “You’re an adult now, so I won’t stop you from dating, but you can’t be too reckless with an Alpha. Don’t let him mark you, not even temporarily, understand? And if you dare take off your inhibitor neckband in front of that Alpha and he bites you, you just wait to collect his corpse the next time you see him!”

Lin Yuan wasn’t afraid of Lin Qian’s threat at all. His husband was the Imperial Marshal, the hero of the Empire, and the heir of the most powerful noble family. Not even the Emperor could compare. But on the outside, he still pretended to be scared: “Yes, I’ll listen to you.”

He’ll listen, but that doesn’t mean he’ll follow.

The Lin family attached great importance to Lin Yuan’s date with Chu Yu, and several elders of the family came to show the Hoffman family their sincerity. Lin Yuan was also given a change of clothes.

A luxurious but simple white shirt with intricate embroidery, adorned with an expensive rose brooch on his left lapel. Tall, black boots wrapped around a pair of straight and slender legs, making him seem even more slim and graceful. His long, golden hair was braided with a red, silk ribbon embroidered with white roses. With his fair and tender skin, round apricot eyes, and rosy lips, his exquisite features made blooming roses pale in comparison.

Lin Qian was waiting outside the door. Seeing his little bunny’s beautiful appearance, he instantly felt that no Alpha was worthy.

Placing Lin Yuan’s hand on the crook of his arm, he said softly: “Let’s go, Count Hoffman and Chu Yu are almost here.”

Lin Yuan smiled: “Ok. Brother, do you think I look good today?”

Lin Qian nodded: “Beautiful. A’yuan, you are the Lin family’s most treasured rose, so you have to hold your head up high. No Alpha is worthy of you bowing down, understand?”

Lin Yuan ‘oh’-ed and said: “I think I’m beautiful too.”

Lin Qian: … Did you not hear the rest of my sentence?

The young man standing behind Count Hoffman was tall and lean. He was quite handsome, and his green eyes were bright and kind.

Lin Qian nudged Lin Yuan and asked in a low voice: “What do you think? Who’s more handsome between him and your boyfriend?”

Lin Yuan said proudly: “Of course my boyfriend is more handsome. My boyfriend is ten times more handsome.”

Lin Qian: …

His little bunny really couldn’t be saved anymore.

This first meeting was mainly for Lin Yuan and Chu Yu to see each other in person. It was the elders of the two families who chatted for the most part.

A few minutes later, Mother Lin said: “A’yuan, Lieutenant General Chu is visiting our house for the first time. Why don’t you show him around?”

Obviously, she intended for Lin Yuan and Chu Yu to talk privately.

For Chu Yu, he was quite pleased with this meeting so far. Although he had seen Lin Yuan’s beauty through photos, when he saw the Omega in person, he was still surprised.

Leaving the room, the two walked nearer to the garden. Seeing the roses from afar, Chu Yu smiled and commented: “I really like roses, they’re very beautiful.”

Lin Yuan was a little confused at this sudden sharing of preferences, but said respectfully: “I like cedar.”

Chu Yu’s pheromone smelled of bamboo, but hearing the youth say so, he still said: “If you’d like, we can plant a forest of cedar trees in our future yard.”

Lin Yuan didn’t want to be overconfident, but from what he could tell, this Lieutenant General Chu seemed to like him. But… this was their first meeting ah!

Lin Yuan couldn’t wrap his head around this. After thinking, he still said: “Lieutenant General Chu, I think it’d be better to make something clear now. I already have someone I like, but for certain reasons I still need to keep this a secret for the time being. I met you this time to deal with the elders in my family, I apologize.”

Chu Yu had never thought his first blind date would go like this. He looked at the beautiful and straightforward Omega and silently envied the other Alpha. He felt it was a pity, but remained composed: “No need to apologize. When I go back today, I’ll tell my father that we aren’t suitable.”

Lin Yuan felt Chu Yu wasn’t bad and quite understanding. He smiled towards Chu Yu, his eyes shining and his dimples peeked out: “Thank you.”

Chu Yu momentarily lost his train of thought seeing his smile until he heard Lin Yuan say: “I have another matter to attend to, so I can’t accompany you for longer. If you like roses, you can stroll around my garden right in front over there.”

Then without waiting for Chu Yu’s response, he turned around and walked away.

Chu Yu looked at the Omega’s back and shook his head with a smile. He said he liked roses because Lin Yuan’s pheromone was the snow rose. The rose he liked wouldn’t be in the rose garden.

Lin Yuan sneaked into the woods, where a glass greenhouse glowed under the sun, like a scene from a fairy tale.

He especially told the attendants and gardeners today that no one would be allowed near the garden, so there was no one else around. Pushing open the door, Lin Yuan walked into a room full of the fresh fragrance of roses, and caught the hint of cedar that mixed in.

When he smelled the familiar pheromones, his round eyes curved happily.

A man in a black military uniform sat in a small room at the furthest end. The two of them made eye contact across a layer of glass at the same time.

Lin Yuan unhesitatingly ran in, throwing himself in the man’s embrace and called out: “Wei Feng.”

He whispered softly: “Wei Feng… I missed you so much…”

The Alpha hugged the little Omega on his lap, and their foreheads were pressed against each other, making their breaths entangle: “En. Me too, I missed you a lot…”

Lin Yuan’s attitude for today was no restraint. He proactively kissed Wei Feng’s lips, and the tip of his tender tongue penetrated past the man’s lips, dancing with the other’s tongue.

The Alpha was a little surprised by the enthusiastic little Omega. After reacting, he kissed back fiercely and eagerly.

The two were on the bed in a blink of an eye. Lin Yuan lay on top of Wei Feng’s body, and licked the scar on the man’s face. At the same time, his fingers pulled the silk ribbon tying his hair, making his golden hair pour down his shoulders.

Lin Yuan placed the silk ribbon in Wei Feng’s hand, and said in a low voice: “Tie my hands, Wei Feng…”

“Wei Feng, if you tie me up, I can’t run away…”
