Arc 7: Chapter 3

Wei Feng suspected that he had something wrong with his ears. He had never seen such a… bold Omega, whose voice was sweet and soft but like a hook. He was talking about the susceptibility period of an Alpha he had just met and saying he would satisfy himself…

What a warm and proactive little Omega.

But Wei Feng didn’t believe that this Omega could heal him. Lin Yuan seemed too fragile and delicate, like a newly bloomed rose stained with morning dew, clear and beautiful. Unfortunately, a rose was too weak to survive in an icy snowfield.

“You… don’t need to worry about this problem for the time being. Maybe you won’t even need to consider it.” Wei Feng said coolly.

Lin Yuan tilted his head, not understanding: “Why ya?”

Hearing Lin Yuan’s question, Wei Feng kind of wanted to show the little Omega what he really looked like now. He was no longer the perfect top-tier Alpha general of the Galactic Empire. He was disfigured, had damaged glands, and spiritual power that could collapse at any time.

He was certain that any Omega would be scared away by him.

In the end, Wei Feng didn’t move. The little Omega seemed too delicate. Instead, he said directly: “The isolated chamber is filled with my pheromones. Omegas can’t stay here for long, I’ll release my spiritual power, and you can try to see if you can soothe it. If it doesn’t work, leave immediately, otherwise my pheromones might affect you.”

A top-tier Alpha’s pheromones could induce an Omega’s heat prematurely, which was very dangerous.

Lin Yuan gave a well-behaved nod. He raised the box in his hands and stared at Wei Feng with expectant eyes: “Marshal, I brought you a gift! I brought a cake, how about we eat it first?”

Wei Feng was surprised again. It was quite unconventional for an Omega to prepare a gift for an Alpha, most times it was the other way around.

He gazed at the beautiful blond youth and was silent for a bit. Suddenly, a fluffy red tail materialized behind him.

Lin Yuan’s eyes widened with surprise.

His husband’s tail? Was this his husband’s quantum beast?

Lin Yuan had never seen such a vibrant red, furry tail before and the urge to touch it almost couldn’t be suppressed.

The red tail stretched out in front of him and the Alpha said softly: “I’ll take it, thank you for the gift.”

Lin Yuan placed the box on top of the tail. Wei Feng retracted the tail and set it aside, and then got straight to business: “Let’s start.”

In the next second, a strong spiritual force burst forth like a violent hurricane, with biting and frigid winds, bringing a manic breath.

The spiritual power seemed pitch-back, like the depths of a bottomless abyss. It was also blood-red, like a battlefield littered with corpses and bones. At the same time, it was broken and shattered like fragments of ruins.

Faced with such terrifying spiritual power, Lin Yuan’s breathing seemed to stop and he trembled uncontrollably. He tried to release his own spiritual power but his body was consumed by fear and he couldn’t control his spiritual power at all.

Wei Feng quickly withdrew his spiritual power. His voice was faint and complicated: “Sure enough, I was right. You don’t need to worry.”

His voice became even fainter: “Go out.”

Lin Yuan’s back was soaked with cold sweat, and his shirt clung to his body uncomfortably. He wanted to say he wouldn’t give up, but Wei Feng didn’t give him the chance. The Alpha used his optical terminal to notify the people outside. Two Beta nurses came in and supported the still-trembling Lin Yuan out the room. t/n i translated light brain to optical terminal

Wei Yang’s eyes never left Lin Yuan as he left. When the little Omega left his sight, he simply signaled Wei Lan with a nod to bring Ryan over.

Wei Lan patted Lin Yuan’s shoulder gently: “Did he scare you? Don’t be afraid. The doctor will give you a sedative, after a good sleep, you’ll be fine.”

Lin Yuan tried to speak, but the remnants of the oppressive spiritual force seemed to still suffocate him and he couldn’t make a sound. The sedative quickly took effect, and Lin Yuan felt his eyelids getting heavier and his consciousness faded away.

Although the Kristaux family didn’t have any expectations for Lin Yuan in the first place, they still had some expectations for Ryan.

Unfortunately, within less than a minute of entering, Ryan had to be carried out after fainting from fear.

Wei Yang understood it was unlikely to find a suitable Omega in only a few tries, but seeing Wei Feng’s condition made him worry. Wei Yang was a 2S-rank Alpha, but even to him, Wei Feng’s pheromones were overwhelmingly tyrannical and aggressive. He couldn’t get close to Wei Feng at all, and could only stand at the doorway. With a grave expression, he said: “A’Feng, are you okay?”

The Alpha stayed silent. His eyes turned to the box on the ground and he picked it up. Seeing the bunny sticker pasted on it, he chuckled: “Little bunny…”

The little Omega’s soft appearance was very similar, he thought. Wei Feng didn’t plan to eat the cake at all, but when he was about to put it down, he noticed that there was a piece of paper tucked inside the flap.

Pulling the paper out, he saw the neat handwriting.

The pheromones in the air changed their scent. Wei Yang sensed that the cold and oppressive atmosphere had eased slightly and was surprised: “A’Feng, what is it?”

Wei Feng brushed aside his long bangs and revealed a handsome face that was marked with a fearsome scare. His blue eyes were as striking as a brilliant blue diamond called the Bloodvine Rose that lay in the Kristaux’s family’s collection.

He read the note out loud: “The passing of spring brings blooming roses. May your summer never wither.” t/n i'm guessing that this points to a new phase in life, spring (or his youth) has passed, but better things are coming...?

When Lin Yuan woke up, he felt a little dizzy and a faint stinging pain, which was clearly a side effect from Wei Feng’s spiritual power.

Looking to the side, Ryan was lying on the adjacent hospital bed, and seemed to be in an even worse condition than him. Ryan’s brows were tightly knitted and tear stains were even still visible on his cheeks.

The nurse saw that Lin Yuan was awake and went to notify the doctor.

As Lin Yuan was being examined, Ryan woke up. The moment he woke up, he broke down into uncontrollable sobs.

After the doctor confirmed they were both fine, Wei Lan personally escorted them back to school. And to make up for the fright they suffered, he gave them 100 million star coins.

Back at the dorms, Lin Yuan entered his single room and went straight to the bathroom. He filled the tub with hot water and sank under completely.

The warmth of the water drove away the lingering coldness. Lin Yuan hugged his knees and curled into a ball. His damp gold hair floated in the water like a gilded cage.

521 sat on top of Lin Yuan’s shoulder and asked carefully: “Senior, are you okay?”

Lin Yuan slowly shook his head and his voice was very quiet: “It’s nothing, I just…”

He was just… a little scared.

If Wei Feng’s spiritual power was already that violent and terrifying while sober, then if he was in a manic state, or had lost control completely, then wouldn’t it be impossible to help him?

Lin Yuan didn’t know what to do.

Despair and helplessness enveloped his body. He stayed curled up for a long time, until the water cooled.

Omegas had pretty weak health, and that night Lin Yuan suffered from a fever. He was bedridden for three days before he recovered.

Having experienced the fragility of an Omega’s body, Lin Yuan reflected seriously. He decided he needed to start strength training and make his body healthier.

As for his husband, Lin Yuan figured he could start with a passionate pursuit, giving them an emotional foundation for them to have an affair later~

Wei Feng had now seen five Omegas, including Lin Yuan. Without exception, each had been scared away by his spiritual power and failed to help him.

One afternoon, Wei Lan arrived at Imperial University again to pick up the sixth Omega candidate. They were just about to board the aircraft, when a blond Omega with violet eyes appeared. Just like last time, he smiled and said happily: “Countess, long time no see.”

For some reason, Wei Lan brought Lin Yuan along again. Maybe seeing the Omega carrying a bouquet of vibrant, fresh roses made him seem like the sun, dazzling and unable to turn away.

When they got off the hovercraft in front of the Kristaux estate, Wei Yang, who was waiting at the entrance, saw Lin Yuan and looked at Wei Lan in confusion. He couldn’t exactly turn the Omega away, so there was no choice but to invite Lin Yuan inside again.

Lin Yuan got straight to the point: “I want to see the Marshal.”

Wei Yang paused for a moment, thought about it, and then agreed: “Alright.”

When Lin Yuan stood in front of the isolation room again, he felt much calmer.

He walked inside and the air was still saturated with the scent of snow and cedar. But this time, Lin Yuan was mentally prepared and it didn’t feel as unbearable.

Wei Feng was not expecting to see Lin Yuan at all. He obviously froze in surprise: “You…why are you here?”

Lin Yuan had dressed himself up for today, looking even more like a delicate little prince. The bouquet of roses in his arms made his pale skin look like freshly fallen snow.

His pink, cherry lips moved slightly: “I missed you and wanted to see you, so I came.”

Although Wei Feng was the dream lover of many Omegas and received endless confessions on the Star Net before getting married, this was the first time he’d heard a romantic line like this face-to-face. He felt as if feathers had brushed against his ears, soft and ticklish.

Lin Yuan performed a graceful bow and said sweetly: “Marshal Wei Feng, I was rude last time and forgot to introduce myself. My name is Lin Yuan, and I am your admirer.”
