Arc 6: Chapter 20

Lin Yuan didn’t know why his emotions suddenly went out of control. 

Maybe it was because pain was contagious. When the person he loved was suffering, he also felt the same pain.

Entering the cave, Yue sat down on the bed, keeping his little female in his lap. Although the light was dim, Yue could clearly see his little female, including his tears.

Lin Yuan forgot about his sadness in an instant. He widened his eyes and asked tremblingly: “You… what are you doing?”

Weren’t they just talking about sad things? How come his husband’s hand was now…

Yue not only rubbed, but also reached inside his favorite place. Looking into the particularly clear and clean eyes of his little female, Yue slightly curved his lips: “Not doing anything. I was sad to see Sui Sui crying, so I wanted to coax you.”

Lin Yuan was half doubtful, but it was true that he didn’t feel like crying anymore after Yue distracted him like this. He hummed twice and said: “With me, you won’t die. The next winter and all of the winters after that, you’ll live through them all.”

He leaned up and kissed Yue’s slave mark again: “Yue, you don’t need to be afraid of winter anymore.”

A quiet sourness spread through Yue’s heart at these words, which also blocked his throat so that he couldn’t say a word. He picked up his little female and laid him on the bed. Then he also lay down, wrapping around Lin Yuan like a coiled snake, just as he did this past winter. He would never let go of his only source of life.
