Arc 6: Chapter 6

Lin Yuan didn’t know much about snakes. In his impression, snakes hissed as they flicked out their tongues, had cold and colorful scales, and slithered across the ground. He also knew that some snakes were venomous to the point of being fatal if being bit and some weren’t at all.

When Yue had described his beast form, Lin Yuan wasn’t able to picture exactly what he meant. Now he could see it. 

The massive black snake was majestic and imposing. Its body was thick and powerful, as if it could blot out the sun and sky. Its scales glistened like obsidian and black jade and seemed harder and sharper than any weapon. The snake’s eyes were also pure black, darker than the bottom of the abyss. 

Lin Yuan felt that this black snake was extremely beautiful, like a stunning work of art carefully created by nature. 

In Yue’s eyes, his little female seemed even smaller and cuter. He could swallow his little female whole in one bite, but he wanted to eat his little female in another way…

Lin Yuan strained his neck to look up at the black snake, and the black snake looked down at him with its head lowered.

Lin Yuan broke out into a sweet and bright smile. He stretched out his hand and called out softly: “Yue…”

Yue heard his name, and there was no fear or disgust in the little female’s voice. Not only did the little female not run away after seeing his beast form, he even… reached out his hand toward him. 

Yue’s heart pounded rapidly, like a roaring drum in his chest, and all of his anxiety and fear vanished in an instant.

The giant black snake was a natural born predator, it killed without mercy and hesitation, but in front of the little female, it slowly lowered its head and its whole body exuded submission of being fully tamed. 

He gently touched the little female’s hand with the tip of his nose, feeling the little female’s warm palm. 

Then he suddenly stretched out a slippery tongue and licked the delicate and soft hand. 

The snake’s tongue was not black like Lin Yuan expected, but instead it was a very dark red, and thicker than Lin Yuan’s arm. 

Yue felt he licked too fast and tasted too little, he wanted more and more. 

“Hisss….”

The black snake moved without warning at a terrifying speed, and its huge body encircled Lin Yuan, like a giant black cage. 

Lin Yuan asked in confusion: “Yue, what are you doing?”

The black snake hissed twiced in response. Its head approached Lin Yuan again, and nudged Lin Yuan’s skirt. 

Although the snake couldn’t speak human language, Lin Yuan could guess what he meant. 

Lin Yuan’s body heated up like he was on fire and he couldn’t wait to hide: “No…”

It was okay if it was Yue’s human form, but such a big snake…

Lin Yuan was shy enough to smoke, and his eyes reddened instantly and glistened with tears.

Snake Yue tugged the skirt again as if he couldn’t wait anymore. 

Lin Yuan grabbed the skirt and even his fingertips were red. He stammered pitifully: “No…no right now… you’re a snake… it won’t work…”

Yue didn’t understand why his beast form wasn’t good. Was his little female scared?

He gently arched the little female with his head. Lin Yuan was pressed by the snake’s cold, jade-like scales all around. He felt nervous, but also... a little stimulated. 

How… how could he think like this? 

Lin Yuan felt wronged and restless, it was all because of Yue that he was becoming strange…

Lin Yuan pouted angrily and whimpered: “You… you’re bullying me!”

The black snake quickly shook his head: No, not bullying.

Lin Yuan guessed that Yue was refuting him and he humphed loudly and smacked the snake’s head. 

To Yue, the force was negligible. Even if Lin Yuan hit him until he broke his hand, Yue probably wouldn’t feel any pain. 

Even so, Lin Yuan was reluctant to exert any strength. His husband was so pitiful in every world and so many people bullied him, he couldn’t bear to bully him too. 

Lin Yuan gritted his teeth: “You did! You bullied me!” Even though he spoke fiercely, he was no more threatening than a mewling kitten.

The black snake hissed anxiously, like a worried big dog. 

When Lin Yuan saw Yue like this, he was suddenly distressed and thought that he was making too much of a fuss. They were already old husbands, it was normal to want to be intimate and play wildly. 

Yue probably wanted to be close to him in his beast form because other beastman all feared him and hated him. He just wanted Lin Yuan to accept him completely. 

Then… just this one time…

Just like this, Lin Yuan coaxed himself and even helped Yue think of reasons to convince himself.

Lin Yuan rubbed the black snake’s head and said calmly: “Who made you my partner? I’ll let you do it this time, but there will be no next time, understand?”

Seeing the little female calm down so quickly when he was just angry a second ago, Yue was a little confused. Anyways, what mattered the most was that the little female agreed.

The black snake nodded and looked obedient: Understood.

Although Lin Yuan had agreed, when he actually had to take off his skirt, his shame surged like a tidal wave. His fingertips trembled, and he quickly comforted himself in his heart that it was only this once, it would pass quickly. 

When he was about to take his skirt off, he found that the black snake was staring at him without blinking and suddenly his courage withered. He waved his hand at the black snake and said: “You… don’t look at me right now!”

Yue was disappointed. He never got a good look during the nighttime, but now he had to be obedient. 

The snake’s head slowly turned and looked elsewhere. 

Lin Yuan quickly took of his skirt like ripping off a bandaid and then squatted on the ground, his arms around his knees and he said weakly: “Okay… I’m ready…”

Yue turned back and looked down. He saw a fair-skinned and tender little female, and a fire was lit throughout his whole body.

Although most of the scales on the black snake were very hard, the scales on its belly were much softer. Lin Yuan lay curled up on Yue's belly, and the tears on the corners of his eyes had not dried up.

Yue lowered his head beside him and hissed, trying to attract the attention of the little female. 

Lin Yuan humphed and turned his back to Yue.

Yue looked at the snow-white back of the little female and flicked his tongue and slowly approached closer. 

Lin Yuan was angry and ashamed. Was that how a snake’s tongue was supposed to be used? He was very angry, the kind that would need an hour to be coaxed.

And Yue seemed to have no concept about how big his beast form was, the black snake’s tongue was very thick, okay?

Hearing a hissing sound, Lin Yuan said fiercely: “I said you could only do it once. You’re not allowed to touch me again!”

Yue retreated aggrievedly. He was reluctant to change back to his human form, but he also wanted to kiss Lin Yuan properly. 

Although Lin Yuan said he would need an hour to be coaxed, his anger quickly dissipated. Soon, he sat up and looked at the snake’s head: “Change back ba, we should go back now.”

Yue lowered his head and rubbed against Lin Yuan gently, and then shook his head to show his unwillingness.

Lin Yuan was puzzled: “Why?”

Yue still shook his head.

Lin Yuan scratched his hair in confusion and thought for a while: “Do you want to stay with me in your beast form for longer?”

Yue nodded, he really, really wanted to.

The snake’s huge body felt a sense of belonging for the first time. Yue could hardly believe that his demon-like beast form was able to be this close to his little female. 

Lin Yuan felt distressed again. His husband was so pitiful, what was wrong with being a giant snake? Did he offend anyone?

Lin Yuan patted Yue’s head with heartache and said softly: “If you like to stay with me in your beast form, then we can come out again more often.”

They would have a lot of chances in the future, after all, there were really only two things they could do in this primitive world: eat and sleep.

Lin Yuan gave the black snake a peck and said with a smile: “Yue, I’m not afraid of you at all, and I don’t think your beast form is scary. Although it's a little big, but your beast form is very beautiful! You’re the most beautiful snake I’ve ever seen, and your scales look like black jade.”

Yue was praised until he was dizzy. 

If his human form was pretty, and his beast form was also beautiful, then would the little female always like him?
