Arc 5: Chapter 12

Xie Hanzhou stilled in order to make sure that he was not mistaken again.

Unlike before, the soft tongue wrapped around his own and sucked and licked until the base of his tongue was slightly numb. He felt as if all of his breath was stolen. When their lips and tongue separated, he panted lightly.

Why was it different?

Traces of doubt appeared in Xie Hanzhou’s narrow eyes, and then they quickly vanished into the abyss.

It was anyone else, Xie Hanzhou wouldn’t care at all, but even a minute change from Yu Sui’an made him alert.

When he arrived at the bottom of the peak and again stood in front of the gate of the Midnight Rain Pavilion, Xie Hanzhou suddenly realized that in the recent months, he had come here more than the total number of times in the past hundreds of years.

Xie Hanzhou silently spread out his divine consciousness. In the study, his little disciple lay on the soft couch under Yu Sui’an’s body, his eyes covered by a red ribbon.

The deep scarlet color contrasted brightly against the little disciples flushed pink complexion. Xie Hanzhou couldn’t help but think of the first cherry blossoms peaking out in early spring.

Its color was not as flamboyant as red plum blossoms, yet it carried a charm of its own. When held and toyed with in the palm, a delicate fragrance wafted out gently, inevitably softening one's heart, almost tender with affection.

Xie Hanzhou curled his fingers imperceptibly.

He could see the opened, ruddy and full lips of his little disciple that glistened with moisture, and he seemed to be able to feel the hot air with each exhale.

His little disciple said weakly: “... Senior brother, I… I need to go back, I still… have class in the afternoon…”

Xie Hanzhou was quite relieved to hear this.

Yu Sui’an was still aroused. The little liar’s tongue was tender and sweet, and he was about to savor it carefully little by little when he discovered Xie Hanzhou's presence.

Suddenly, Yu Sui’an’s peace of mind was disturbed. He couldn’t barely suppress the irritation in his heart. Xie Hanzhou just had to come over at this moment. He must have been attracted by the wonderful taste.

Yu Sui’an got angrier and angrier as he thought about it. What an annoying ghost that he couldn’t get rid of!

He inhaled and exhaled a few deep breaths, and decided to pretend not to know anything and focus on the youth. In an instant, his cold and gloomy brows softened. Slowly raising his hand, he really wanted to touch the youth, feel his smooth and warm skin, his soft lips, and venture into deeper places and more secret places.

But his hand paused in mid-air. He knew he was like a starved ghost who finally found a delicious meal. Naturally, he wanted to monopolize it and enjoy it slowly. He didn’t want to share even a bite with another person, even if it was ‘himself’.

“It’s not urgent.” Yu Sui’an whispered silently. He ran his hand through the scattered strands of hair and leaned close to Lin Yuan’s ear.

Yu Sui’an smiled and said to Lin Yuan gently: “Sui Sui, be good, stick out your tongue again. I haven’t tasted enough.”

Lin Yuan was still a bit dazed and confused. He stammered: “You're… still biting?”

Yu Sui’an hummed. He waited for the little liar to send himself into the wolf’s den.

Lin Yuan didn’t think too much about it, and extended his tongue again, revealing the wet and tender appendage that was already bitten red.

In the depths of Yu Sui’an’s eyes, there seemed to be starlight that burned intensely and his gaze could make people shiver. His Adam’s apple slid up and down, and he praised hoarsely: “Sui Sui is so good, very well-behaved.”

When Lin Yuan finally left the study, his tongue was numb with pain and his whole body was still hot and flushed.

Yu Sui’an walked him to the front gate. After thinking about it, he tied the red ribbon over Lin Yuan’s hair band, and said: “In the future, use this ribbon to tie up your hair, okay?”

He really wanted to leave his own mark on Sui Sui, but now, he could only do this much.

Remembering what this ribbon was just used for, Lin Yuan felt it was a little awkward to walk around with this ribbon in front of other people, but no one would know anyway, so he agreed obediently: “Okay. Then I’ll use this ribbon as my hair tie.”

Yu Sui’an was reluctant to part with his little liar, but he supported Lin Yuan in cultivating and studying seriously. After all, having a career should be encouraged.

He watched Lin Yuan leave until he could no longer see the thin figure. Withdrawing his gaze, he turned his head and his eyes were no longer bright, instead they were as cold as frozen glaciers.

“The esteemed Immortal Sovereign, why are you not seeking enlightenment atop your Ancient Grove Peak? What brought you down here to visit my humble abode?”

A mocking smile tugged on the corners of Yu Sui’an’s lips, but his words were as sharp as blades: “The dignified head of Pure Jade Palace is peeping at his disciples’ intimate moments—if this was to spread, your pristine reputation would be sullied.”

Xie Hanzhou calmly walked out of the shadows. The sun’s rays hit his figure, making the silver patterns on his robe shimmer more vividly, and they flowed gracefully with the breeze. His indifferent gaze looked at Yu Sui’an. Maybe the man’s eyes were too deep, or they were in the shadows for too long, but even the sunlight vanished under his gaze.

“Enough days have passed, Yu Sui’an.” Xie Hanzhou’s was light, like the cool breeze, carrying some chill from the winter forest: “You still refuse to let go of my disciple?”

Yu Sui’an sneered. His strong body leaned against the door frame, like a beast declaring its territory against an intruder. He said sarcastically: “I let him go? Immortal Sovereign, you must’ve been standing up high for too long and forgotten what greed, anger, obsession, hatred, love and desire are. Did you forget that the mortal world cherishes emotion and the demon realm indulges in desire?”

“It doesn’t matter if you forgot, let me make it clear to you today—your disciple? I've claimed him. He is mine and mine alone.”

Xie Hanzhou frowned slightly: “What do you mean?”

Yu Sui’an chuckled and shook his head, and countless strands of ink black hair scattered, fluttering like black silk in the mountain breeze: “Never mind. You just need to know that everything between us ends now. I will no longer treat him like a pawn.”

When he spoke of Lin Yuan, Yu Sui’an’s eyes exuded unprecedented warmth, like he had stepped into the world and was no longer an evil spirit or the wrath of the demon realm: “I will treat him well, like normal Daoist couples. I will treat him a hundred times, thousands of times better than you ever would.”

Xie Hanzhou didn’t trust Yu Sui’an. He thought this was a new conspiracy and said expressionlessly: “Lin Yuan is a disciple of Pure Jade Palace and a member of the righteous immortal sect. You are the lord of the demon realm, how is it possible for him to be with you? Demonize to follow you to the demon realm? Impossible.”

This time, Yu Sui'an did not get angry. He used to enjoy going against Xie Chanzhou, appearing in front of him as the eldest disciple and intentionally getting in his way. But now, he had something else he was fond of.

The little trickster was so soft, tender, and fragrant, and suited his taste perfectly. Inexplicably, he found himself becoming a little obsessed and entangled.

When he thought back, he seemed to have wasted most of his life by constantly going against Xie Chanzhou, this old, inflexible immortal, only ever resulting in himself being angry. Just spending a few days playing with the little liar was much more interesting.

Xie Chanzhou was his obstacle, the source of his resentment, and also his karma. Yu Sui'an knew that he might never break through this mental barrier in his life.

But so what? The mental barrier might be impossible to get over, but what about the physical barrier?

As long as Yu Sui'an could overcome his own physical barrier, he could experience the earthly pleasures with the little liar and fully savor the sweetness that tugged at his heartstrings. He wanted to devour the little liar and hold tightly onto what was right in front of him.

He used to have nothing, but now, his hands had felt the warmth of another person, and his heart was being filled.

But this was far more than enough…

For the past hundred years, Yu Sui’an’s spiritual world had always been like the abyss of shadows under a gray sky, but for the first time, the true essence in his spiritual world began to awaken, and a trace of clarity pierced through the shadows .

Yu Sui’an was startled. He had been in the middle stage of the Heavenly Realm for decades, but as long as Xie Hanzhou did not reach the upper stage of the Heavenly Realm, he didn’t care about cultivating further. He only cared about not losing to Xie Hanzhou.

But now he felt that a breakthrough was just around the corner.

Xie Hanzhou also noticed this change, and a hint of solemnity appeared in his cold eyes.

Yu Sui’an smiled at his other self: “Immortal Sovereign, your disciple is my lucky star. We haven’t even dual cultivated yet, but I have gained an epiphany. By the time we dual cultivate, maybe I will break through and attain godhood.”

“Oh, Immortal Sovereign, do you also want to find a disciple to dual cultivate with? We share the same soul, if this method seems to work for me, it might also work for you. You might break through by dual cultivating once, nothing could be more effective.”

Yu Sui’an looked at Xie Hanzhou’s indifferent expression. Even though the man looked as arrogant and aloof as usual, Yu Sui’an knew the other’s mood was not as calm as he appeared.

Yu Sui’an’s next words stabbed deeper: “Xie Hanzhou, do you want to lose to yourself?”
