Arc 4: Chapter 20
Lu Ye turned the cold metal door handle and opened the door. When the two soldiers outside saw the door open, they saluted him and greeted formally: “Hello Sir, we apologize for disturbing your rest.”
Lu Ye’s lips curled and he showed a flawless courteous smile: “What’s the matter?” But he didn’t move to welcome them in, his body was still fully blocking the entry way. Because of his strong desire for control, he didn’t want others to enter his private domain.
The soldier on the right was around his mid thirties, he said seriously: “We are one of Nan City’s teams of power users. My name is Song Ting, the deputy leader. We’d like to invite you and Mr. Lin to join our team. I promise that we will offer you both the best resources and benefits.”
Lu Ye said lightly: “Thank you for the invitation. My lover and I temporarily have no plans to enter any team.”
Song Ting had been previously debriefed about this same-sex couple before he came, but when he heard the young man call the other his ‘lover’, he actually felt a little novel. Now in the apocalypse, it was quite rare to see such a devoted relationship such as lovers.

Song Ting understood. The young man was making it clear that he wouldn’t join any team.

“Our Big Brother Wang said that if Brother Lu and Brother Lin joined us, you can work with us to eliminate zombies and crystal cores and everything will be given to you two.” One of the people repeated what he said to Lu Ye to Lin Yuan.
Lin Yuan thought of the plot and quickly shook his head: “No need, we won’t join any team.”
What a joke, with his husband as the biggest villain, a team might just stir up more trouble and accelerate his husband’s blackening. It was safer for the two of them to live a solitary, affectionate life together.

When the door closed, Lin Yuan leaned closer to Lu Ye and said restlessly: “Husband, let’s not join any of these teams. The more people there are, the more trouble there’ll be. It’s enough for the two of us to live together, I will protect you well.”
Lu Ye softly agreed and then bent down slightly to pick up Lin Yuan and pinned the young man in between him and the wall.
“Since Sui Sui said so, then you can’t take it back.”
Lin Yuan nodded obediently and cupped Lu Ye’s face: “No take backs.”
Lu Ye responded by lowering his head and biting the youth’s collarbone. His force was not heavy but not gently, bringing a deep itch.
Lin Yuan’s body tensed for a moment and then slowly relaxed. He raised his neck and put his hands on Lu Ye’s shoulders to facilitate the other’s movements.
“Lu Ye…” His syrupy voice made Lu Ye’s breathing heavier, and his Adam’s apple rolled up and down.
“Sui Sui…”
Lin Yuan couldn’t help clutching Lu Ye’s clothes as he let out gasps and moans. On his fair skin, new crimson marks overlapped with the old.
Breakfast was an hour late. Lin Yuan ate breakfast hungrily, his swollen and moist lips opening and closing.
Lu Ye stared at this scene and some bad thoughts couldn’t help rising. He poked Lin Yuan’s cheeks and asked meaningfully: “Sui Sui, I’m not feeling hungry, can you guess why?”
Lin Yuan paused his movements and looked at Lu Ye and pondered. He suddenly thought of a possibility and widened his eyes and kicked Lu Ye under the table and said accusingly: “Lu Ye, did you eat late night snacks behind my back?”
Lu Ye raised an eyebrow and pinched Lin Yuan’s soft face. He said teasingly: “No, I didn’t eat behind your back, I ate right in front of you. It was when Sui Sui was sitting on the chair and I ate while kneeling on the ground. Doesn’t Sui Sui remember?”
Lin Yuan was confused at first, but then quickly realized what Lu Ye was saying. His face and ears flushed red in an instant.

Lin Yuan quickly finished his breakfast in embarrassment and then transformed into a big wolf, lying on the carpet and pretending to be dead.

Although his wife was now a wolf, there were still many ways to play. Lu Ye rubbed the wolf's entire body and Lin Yuan melted like a pancake on the carpet, his blue eyes were a little teary.

Lin Yuan hummed and the wolf who could almost reach the ceiling gradually shrank into a smal wolf cub. Even his howls became softer and more glutinous like rice cake.
Lin Yuan’s cute appearance poked at Lu Ye’s heart and he couldn’t help picking up Lin Yuan and kissing his face several times. He cooed: “Sui Sui is so cute.”
Lin Yuan’s tail wagged side to side and he yipped modestly: I’m not that cute ya~
Lu Ye left their villa with Lin Yuan in his arms, and as they walked, Lin Yuan munched on a batch of strawberries that he had taken out of the storage ring.
It was a little inconvenient for Lin Yuan to eat strawberries with his paws, and his fur was smudged with juice.

But his appearance was so cute that he didn’t seem fierce at all. The teenager was struck by Lin Yuan’s cuteness and said in an even sweeter voice: “Brother Shen, people really want it ma.” t/n like talking in third person to appear cutesy
During this, Lu Ye silently cleaned Lin Yuan’s fur, his movements quickening. When he was done, he stood up with Lin Yuan and prepared to leave.
He only took two steps when he was blocked by some other men: “This brother, our sister-in-law wants to buy your pet. How much are you willing to sell it for?”
