BIOGRPAHY :
1996. NOVEMBER 9TH, 1996. franklin scott cohen was born at 7:17am on a rainy saturday morning. he was a quiet child, not often a crier and rarely made his parents fuss over him for very long. and for the first few years of his life, his parents were very happy and in love. happy enough to bring another baby into the world, his younger sister, hannah, three years after him. she was the light of his mothers life, the first girl in their family for almost a three decades.
after hannah came into their lives, it was as if franklin became the afterthought. his parents doted on hannah and he quickly became the unwanted one. hannah was spoiled, gotten everything she ever wanted, and franklin got the scraps.
it wasn't her fault, of course, and it took a number of years for franklin to not place the blame with her. she never asked for any of it: the attention, the expectations, the handouts so often by their mother.
2001. parents get divorced but when his mother moves back to the united states, franklin is unable to go with her and is left with his father. (5)

2009. (16) moves back to the u.s. to live with his mother. doesn't talk to his father for as long as he can help it. franklin cuts all ties with him.
2012. (19) meets kay cavanagh, a fellow student studying abroad, in college and is engaged within the first year. married within 6 months of engagement, very quick and small. they were inseparable at the start, dumb kids drunk in love.
2015. (22)
2017. (26) divorces kay, moves to new york to completely start over. they have on again, off again flings for the better part of a couple months when she'd come to new york for work, then they cut ties again after a heated argument.
2019. (28) begins internship at vought working in their it department, managing systems and keeping them strong. franklin actually helps to develop a whole new system for their network and servers, keep them better protected with the advancements in cyber security (with a little key-in for when he needs / wants in).
2020. (29) season two. meets shiloh warren after he broke into franklin's apartment and warned him about playing around with things he shouldn't, tells him that he's lucky nobody else has been smart enough to catch on. franklin asks him if he was there to kill him, shiloh laughs and tells him no, but he does have an ultimatum. leave vought and work for him instead, full freedoms, still having access to his key-in OR stay and take his chances of getting caught with a far worse punishment if homelander or stan edgar catches him snooping around.
MARCH 30TH, 2020: franklin quits vought abruptly, citing "not the right fit" for his reason of leaving. it takes only an hour for him to sign multiple NDA's, gather everything that belongs to him and leave vought international behind. within the week, he established contact with shiloh warren and becomes fully intwined with him.
SEPTEMBER 8TH, 2020: franklin's files mysteriously disappear from vought records and every other database that has any information regarding him. any mention of him or those in regards to him (family, friends) through the majority of his life has been swiped clean through nearly every system. franklin cohen doesn't exist to the world.
2021. (30) season two/three. franklin begins learning everything he knows from shiloh, namely how to be a better spy. he goes with shiloh to a lot of various meetings with other "clients," or those he has essentially employed to help his cause.
2022. (31) season three. franklin finds out that kay has been hired on as a vought media consultant. between dealing with the messy events of season three that shiloh and the boys inevitably get up to, franklin feels its within his responsibility to warn kay about the kind of people that she's working for. he tries sending her little messages through her phone, but she ignores them. he tries calling her while she's at home, she ignores him. eventually, he must try to see her face to face. he comes to her as she's leaving the parking garage from the tower, having broken in and stowed away in her back seat.
kay, rightly freaked out, curses him and demands him to get out of the car. she tells him that he's crazy and acting paranoid. that any sane person would not have waited for her to get to her car just to talk to her. but franklin won't leave until she hears what he has to say. against his better judgement, he gives her a usb and tells her, "get out, kay. get as far away from these people as you can and don't ever look back. please."
2023. (32) season three/four. somewhere between the events of the explosion at the tower and the beginnings of the murder trial against homelander, kay cavanagh finally opens the documents, sees the pictures and watches the videos on the usb that franklin had given her. finally, she realizes that franklin was right all along. vought international is not who she thought they were. eventually, she resigns as the media consultant, takes her new fiancé and leaves everything she knows behind for a different state.
but, unfortunately for both kay and franklin, she is not as careful with her steps. she doesn't ask for franklin's help, she doesn't even tell him that she's leaving. its not enough to hide her, in fact its quite the opposite. she leaves traces of evidence behind, the usb. it was found in her desk, forgotten in the rush to pack all of her things.
kay is immediately investigated for espionage and worse. her life is torn apart, piece by piece, and she is not cool under pressure. she cracks, she mentions franklin by name. and after the vought hired men leave her home, she tries to call franklin to warn him about everything. the men, the usb, the evidence they have, what she's done. she doesn't get more than two words in before an explosion kills the line. kay cavanagh and her fiance, sam whitman, are both killed in a "natural gas" explosion.
franklin begins fitting the pieces together shortly after looking into her death. quickly he realizes that he fucked up. before anything else, he contacts shiloh through their emergency means. he sets up a meeting. in his panic, franklin dumps everything. "kay is dead, vought killed her. i think... its my fault."
2024 - CURRENT. (33) season four. franklin spends the better part of the season helping shiloh from the cabin. it takes weeks to get shiloh to trust him with senesitve information again, but eventually he is given no other choice. franklin is the only one that can enter voughts mainframe undetected and shiloh needs the access.
eventually, it comes out that franklin's incident with his wife is not the thing that gets shiloh into trouble. its one of his other "clients" that turns on him. one of his other "trusted people" is not careful enough with the pieces of information that shiloh gave them to look into, they became careless, and got caught with it. they gave shiloh up within minutes. that, ultimately, is what gets him into trouble.
