The park is located in the beautiful, quaint Bluff Country and Mississippi River Valley of Southeastern Minnesota, a 24,000 square mile landscape of rivers, streams, valleys, and ridges - a geological area unique in the world.
The area has some of America’s most beautiful scenery and off-road biking, camping, hiking, and touring opportunities, including two nearby State parks.
Plainview is 85 miles from Minneapolis/St. Paul and 20 miles from Rochester, Minnesota, one of America’s fastest-growing cities. Over a million patients and visitors from all 50 states and 38 foreign countries come to Rochester’s famous Mayo Clinic, including many where Volunteers have served.
