The Los Santos Police Department's Road Safety Unit (R.S.U.) is a specialized division dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of the city's roadways. Operating under the LSPD’s Traffic Operations Bureau, the R.S.U. focuses on traffic law enforcement, collision investigation, impaired driving prevention, and public education campaigns aimed at reducing road-related incidents.
Specialized Equipment & Vehicles: R.S.U. officers are equipped with high-performance pursuit vehicles, radar and LIDAR speed detection systems, ALPR (Automatic License Plate Recognition) technology, and body-worn cameras.
Community Engagement: Beyond enforcement, the R.S.U. actively engages with the public through road safety workshops, school programs, and awareness initiatives. The goal is to foster a culture of safe and responsible driving habits throughout Los Santos.
