Matt R. Connor was appointed as the Chief Of Police on 8th of September, 2025. Chief Matt commands the largest Police Department in San Andreas, with over 100 budgeted sworn and professional staff. In 2024, Chief Matt completed his service as the Blaine County Sheriff, capping a 2 year career at the Blaine County Sheriff's Office.
Growing up in unincorporated East Los Santos suburb, Chief Matt's neighborhood was patrolled by the police department. He saw examples of both good and bad policing, which inspired him to become a peace officer and shaped his philosophy on relationship-based policing, specifically in communities of color. Chief Matt started as a Los Santos Police officer in 2022 and was promoted within every rank of the Police Department. He was appointed Captain of Police in 2022. Chief Matt has also received various awards from organizations in San Andreas for his civic leadership and community engagement. Chief Matt has also served for His Majesty's Royal Canadian Mounted Police as a inspector but then moved back to United States and now serves as the Chief Of Police.
Chief Matt is a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) National Executive Institute and National Academy, Harvard University’s program for senior executives in state and local government, and the University of Southern San Andreas (USSA) Delinquency Control Institute. In addition, Chief Matt holds a Master’s in Public Administration from San Andreas State University Los Santos
