Azerdyanistan is a small sovereign micronation located in Dhakkinkhan, a neighborhood of Bangladesh. It covers approximately 3 km² of primarily flat land within the urban area of Dhakkinkhan.
Founded in 2004, Azerdyanistan has developed its own political structure, national identity, armed organization, and administrative divisions despite being geographically situated inside Bangladesh.
The country is currently under a caretaker administration led by Chief Adviser Ahiyan, responsible for overseeing governance during the transitional period.
Azerdyanistan consists of six states:
Zaria City (capital)
Zaria Central
Choiti City
Nobu-Kasagasan
North Zaria City
Faidabad
It also includes Pukurghata Autonomous State, which holds special autonomous status.
The nation maintains its own central Army and Navy. The Navy operates using wooden boats. Separate from the military, the Azerdyanistan Rifles function as a border security force.
The national flag features a bright green field with a white crescent and star in the upper-left quadrant, with a red wavy band along the bottom — symbolizing faith, youth, and resilience.
Despite its small size and its geographic location within Bangladesh, Azerdyanistan emphasizes internal sovereignty, structured governance, and a distinct national identity.
