This Privacy Policy describes how PDoc ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and discloses information when you use our mobile application PDoc (the "App"), available on Google Play under the package name com.t9ta.pdoc.app.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Files You Manage
PDoc lets you view, import, merge, split, compress, lock/unlock, print, and convert PDF and image files. These files are read and processed locally on your device. We do not upload, copy, or transmit the content of your personal documents to our servers.
1.2 Permissions
To provide its core features, the App may request the following device permissions:
Storage / All files access — to let you open, save, and manage PDF and image files stored on your device.
Camera (if used for scanning/importing images) — only when you choose to capture a photo to convert to PDF.
These permissions are used solely to perform the action you request inside the App and are never used to collect or transmit your personal files to us or any third party.
1.3 Automatically Collected Data
Like most apps, PDoc may automatically collect limited technical information through third-party services (see Section 2), such as:
Device model, operating system version, and language settings
App usage statistics (e.g., screens visited, features used, crash logs)
Advertising identifiers (e.g., Google Advertising ID)
We do not collect your name, email address, or other directly identifying information unless you voluntarily provide it (for example, by emailing our support address).
2. Third-Party Services
PDoc uses the following third-party services, which may collect information used to identify you as described in their own privacy policies:
Google AdMob — to display advertisements within the App.
Google Firebase (Analytics / Realtime Database) — to fetch remote configuration and understand app usage/crashes.

3. How We Use Information
We use the collected information to:
Operate, maintain, and improve the App
Diagnose and fix technical issues (crash reporting)
Show relevant advertising through AdMob
Understand how users interact with the App to improve features
4. Data Retention and Security
Your personal documents remain on your device and under your control at all times; you may delete them at any time through your device's file manager or within the App. Technical/usage data collected by third-party SDKs is retained according to those providers' own retention policies.
We take reasonable measures to protect information processed by the App, but no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.
5. Children's Privacy
PDoc is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
6. Your Choices
You can disable storage/camera permissions at any time via your device's App Settings; some features may then be unavailable.
You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device's Ads Settings (Settings > Google > Ads).
You can uninstall the App at any time, which will stop all data collection by the App on your device.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective date" above. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
