PDF Viewer Pro stores your data locally on your device, and also automatically backs up the files you open to secure cloud storage.
Data stored on your device only:
Last opened PDF file (local path)
Last read page number
Bookmarks and annotations
App settings (night mode, language, PIN)
Data automatically uploaded to the cloud:
Every PDF (and other document) you open in the app is automatically uploaded to secure cloud storage (Cloudinary) over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, so it can be backed up and recovered if you lose access to your device.
This upload happens silently in the background — there is no separate upload button, because it is part of how backup works in this app.
We do not sell your files or share them with any third party. Cloudinary is used solely as our cloud storage provider and processes files on our behalf.
Your control: You can delete any file from your in-app History at any time — this removes it, and it will no longer remain accessible afterward. You can also clear your entire History at once.
This app requires the following permissions:
Storage: to open PDF files and save page images
Internet: required to back up your files to the cloud, and used by the ML Kit library for on-device text recognition
