This Terms of Service and Privacy Policy applies to PDF Viewer - Reader & Tools (the "App", "we", "our", or "us"). The App provides document-related tools such as viewing PDF and office files, scanning documents, converting images to PDF, compressing PDF files, merging or splitting PDF files, printing documents, and managing local files on your device.
By installing or using the App, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the App and uninstall it from your device.
1. Information We Collect
We are committed to collecting only the information needed to provide and improve the App.
1.1 Files and Documents
The App may access files, images, documents, or media selected by you or stored on your device, only for the purpose of providing document viewing, scanning, conversion, compression, merging, splitting, printing, or file management features.
Your files are processed to complete the actions you request. We do not sell your documents, and we do not use your documents for advertising profiling.
1.2 Photos, Camera, and Media
If you use scanning or image-to-PDF features, the App may request access to your camera, photos, or media files. This access is used only to capture, select, process, and save documents or images as requested by you.
1.3 Device and Usage Information
We may collect limited device and usage information, such as device model, operating system version, app version, language, country or region, feature usage, crash logs, diagnostics, and performance data. This information helps us maintain the App, fix bugs, improve performance, and understand how users interact with the App.
1.4 Advertising Information
The App may display ads. We currently use Google AdMob to provide and measure advertising. In the future, we may also use advertising mediation or additional advertising partners. Advertising services may collect or use advertising identifiers, approximate location, device information, and interaction data to provide, measure, limit, and improve ads, subject to their own policies and applicable laws.
2. How We Use Information
We may use collected information to:
- Provide document viewing, scanning, conversion, compression, merging, splitting, printing, and file management features.
- Save, organize, and display files selected or created by you.
- Improve app performance, stability, and user experience.
- Detect and fix crashes, errors, and technical issues.
- Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- Display and measure advertising where applicable.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3. Permissions We May Request
Depending on the features you use, the App may request the following permissions:
- Camera: to scan paper documents or capture images.
- Photos, media, and files: to select, view, convert, compress, merge, split, print, or manage documents and images.
- Storage or file access: to read and save files on your device.
- Notifications: to show task progress, reminders, or service-related notifications where permitted.
- Internet access: to load ads, check service availability, improve app performance, or provide online features.
You can manage permissions through your device settings. Some features may not work properly if required permissions are disabled.
4. Foreground Services and Notifications
Some document tasks may take time, especially when processing large files or multiple files. The App may use foreground services or notifications to show task progress and keep user-initiated file processing visible while the task is running.
These services are used only for user-visible tasks, such as scanning, converting, compressing, merging, splitting, saving, or printing files. They stop when the task is completed, failed, or cancelled. They are not used for hidden tracking or continuous background monitoring.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information only in the following situations:
- With service providers that help us operate, analyze, maintain, or improve the App.
- With advertising partners to provide and measure ads, where applicable.
- When required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
- To protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the App, or the public.
6. Third-Party Services
The App may use third-party services for analytics, crash reporting, advertising, app distribution, or technical support. We currently use Google AdMob for advertising, and we may use advertising mediation or additional ad networks in the future. These third parties may collect information according to their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services used in the App, including Google AdMob and Google services.
7. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as necessary to provide the App, improve our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Files created or saved by you remain on your device unless you choose to delete or share them.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
10. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information. You may also manage app permissions, advertising preferences, and notification settings through your device settings.

11. Terms of Use
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You must not misuse the App, attempt to interfere with its operation, violate the rights of others, or use the App to process unlawful, harmful, or infringing content.
You are responsible for the files you view, create, process, save, share, or delete using the App. Please make sure you have the necessary rights and permissions for any documents or media you use with the App.
12. Disclaimer
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or file. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Terms of Service and Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the effective date above. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy.
