13. Information We Process

1.1 PDF Files and Document Content

When you use this app to open, scan, create, merge, split, rename, move, delete, encrypt, decrypt, or edit PDF files, the app may access:

-  PDF files stored on your device; 

-  Images or documents that you choose to import; 

-  Images and PDF files created using the camera scanning feature; 

-  File names, sizes, types, storage locations, and modification dates; 

-  The results of document editing and processing operations performed by you. 

These files and document contents are generally processed only on your device. We do not actively upload your PDF files, scanned images, or document contents to our servers, and we do not sell them to third parties.

When you actively use the system sharing feature, the relevant files will be transferred through the third-party app or service you select. Such processing is governed by the privacy policy of the applicable third party.

1.2 Device and Technical Information

To maintain app functionality, analyze technical issues, display advertisements, or improve the user experience, the app or integrated third-party services may process the following information:

-  Device model and operating system version; 

-  App version, language, and regional settings; 

-  IP address and network status; 

-  Advertising identifier; 

-  App launch, feature usage, and crash information; 

-  Push notification token and notification delivery status;

2. Permission Usage

2.1 All Files Access Permission

This permission may provide broad access to shared storage. However, the app uses it only for user-facing PDF and compatible document management functions, including:

-  Finding and displaying PDF files stored on the device; 

-  Opening and reading PDF files; 

-  Searching and categorizing documents; 

-  Renaming, moving, or deleting files; 

-  Merging and splitting PDF files; 

-  Encrypting, decrypting, or locking documents; 

-  Saving edited or exported files. 

The app does not access your files on behalf of advertisers or other third parties, and it does not use this permission for purposes unrelated to document management.

You may disable this permission in your device settings. However, automatic PDF discovery, cross-folder browsing, and certain file management features may not function properly after the permission is disabled.

Google Play treats device files and directories as personal and sensitive data and restricts the use of the MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission. This permission may only be used for permitted purposes that are directly related to an app’s core functionality, such as document management, and must be declared and reviewed through Google Play Console.

2.2 Camera Permission

The camera permission is used only to:

-  Photograph paper documents; 

-  Scan document pages; 

-  Convert scanned content into PDF files. 

The app accesses the camera only when you actively use the scanning feature. We do not secretly take photos or record videos in the background.

2.3 Photos, Media, and Files Permission

This permission is used to:

-  Import images or PDF files from your device; 

-  Save scanned files and processed PDF files; 

-  Browse and manage documents stored on your device; 

-  Convert images into PDF files. 

The app accesses relevant content only when necessary to perform a function that you actively select.

2.4 Notification Permission

The notification permission may be used to send:

-  File processing completion reminders; 

-  Scan or export status reminders; 

-  App feature and service notifications; 

-  Activity or re-engagement reminders that users have agreed to receive. 

Notifications should not falsely claim the existence of files, file damage, expiration, or security risks. You may disable notifications at any time through your device settings.

2.5 Network Permission

The network permission may be used to:

-  Load advertisements; 

-  Receive push notifications; 

-  Check for app updates; 

-  Retrieve remote configuration; 

-  Collect app performance statistics; 

-  Detect network connection status. 

Basic PDF reading and local processing generally do not require document content to be uploaded.

Advertising service providers may process advertising identifiers, IP addresses, device information, approximate location, network status, and advertisement impression or click data for the following purposes:

PDF files, scanned images, and editing results are generally stored locally on your device.

You may delete relevant content by:

-  Deleting files through your device’s file manager; 

-  Clearing app data; 

-  Uninstalling the app. 

Third-party advertising, analytics, and push notification services may retain necessary technical data in accordance with their own retention policies. We retain data directly controlled by us only for as long as necessary to provide services, comply with legal obligations, or resolve security issues.

8. Data Security

-  Processing documents locally on the device whenever possible;

-  Delete PDF files and scanned files stored on your device; 

-  Clear the app cache or app data; 

-  Uninstall the app; 

-  Reset or restrict the advertising identifier in your device settings; 

-  Contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of data under our control, subject to applicable law. 

Withdrawing certain permissions may prevent related features from functioning, but it will not affect other features that do not depend on those permissions.

10. Children’s Privacy

This app is not specifically directed toward children below the age defined by applicable law.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information through this app, please contact us, and we will take appropriate action in accordance with applicable law.
