To provide you with the full range of features of PDF Reader, we may request access to certain permissions on your device. These permissions are only used to ensure the Application functions correctly. You can manage or revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings.
Storage & Files (READ/WRITE/MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): We require access to your device's storage to scan, open, read, edit, and save PDF documents. The "Manage External Storage" permission allows you to organize and manage PDF files stored on your device efficiently.
Camera (CAMERA): This permission allows you to use the scanner feature to take photos of physical documents and convert them into PDF format.
Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO): This permission allows you to use the microphone for recording audio, such as adding voice annotations to PDF documents or recording voice notes within the App.
Internet & Network (INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): These permissions are used to check network connectivity for features such as cloud syncing, downloading updates, or providing analytical data.
App Information (READ_APP_INFO, GET_COMMON_DATA): These permissions help us understand the running environment of the App to ensure compatibility and optimize performance across different devices.
Foreground Service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE): This ensures that ongoing tasks, such as large file conversions or document processing, are completed without interruption if the App moves to the background.
Foreground Service – Data Sync (FOREGROUND_SERVICE_DATA_SYNC): On Android 14 and above, this permission is used to perform data synchronization tasks in the foreground, such as syncing your documents and account data across devices, ensuring that sync operations continue smoothly while you use the App.
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): On Android 13 and above, this permission allows us to send you notifications, such as updates on document processing, new features, promotions, and other relevant information about the Service.
Boot Completed (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED): This permission allows the App to receive a signal when your device has finished booting up, enabling us to reschedule necessary background tasks or restore your notification preferences to ensure uninterrupted service.
Device Stability (WAKE_LOCK): This prevents the device from entering sleep mode while performing power-intensive or critical tasks like long-document rendering.
Google Play Billing (com.android.vending.BILLING): This permission allows the App to use Google Play's billing service to process in-app purchases and subscriptions securely.
Firebase Cloud Messaging (com.google.android.c2dm.permission.RECEIVE): This permission allows the App to receive push notifications and data messages sent via Firebase Cloud Messaging, enabling real-time updates and communications.
