Effective date: October 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how PDF Reader (“the App”) handles information. “We,” “us,” and “our” refer to the developer identified on the official app store listing from which you obtained the App.
PDF Reader opens and displays documents on your device. Document contents and file information, such as filenames and file locations, are accessed to provide the reading features you use.
We do not upload your documents to our servers or use their contents for advertising, profiling, or training artificial intelligence models.
Reading preferences, recent-file references, and temporary files generated by the App are stored locally on your device.
The App does not require an account and does not include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.
We do not collect your reading history through a remote analytics service, track you across apps or websites, or sell personal information. We do not share personal information for targeted advertising.
The App accesses files you select or otherwise authorize it to access through your device’s file-access controls.
You can manage or revoke permissions through your device settings. Revoking file access may prevent the App from opening the affected documents.
If you choose to open a document from a cloud storage provider, share a file with another app, or follow an external link, the service you select handles that activity under its own terms and privacy policy.
Your operating system and app store may separately process installation, purchase, backup, or diagnostic information according to their policies and your settings. Device-level backups may include locally stored App data. PDF Reader does not operate its own cloud synchronization service.
If you contact us, we receive the contact details, message, and attachments you choose to provide. We use this information to respond to your request, investigate the issue you report, and meet applicable legal obligations.
The communication service used to deliver and store your message may also process that information. We do not use support messages for advertising.
Please avoid sending confidential documents unless they are necessary to explain your request.
We do not maintain server-side copies of documents you open in the App.
You can delete documents through your device’s file-management tools. Locally stored App data can be removed through the storage-management or uninstall options available on your device. Uninstalling the App does not necessarily delete original documents stored elsewhere or copies held in device backups or cloud storage.
Support correspondence is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve your request and satisfy applicable legal obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
Local data protection depends in part on your device’s security, permissions, and backup settings. No storage or communication method can guarantee absolute security.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of information you have provided to us. You may also have the right to complain to a relevant data protection authority. Contact us using the method below to make a request.
We will update this policy when our practices change and revise the effective date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before introducing new processing.
For privacy questions or requests, use the developer contact or support option on PDF Reader’s official app store listing.
