**PDF Master** ("we", "our", or "us") is dedicated to protecting your personal privacy and the confidentiality of your documents. This Privacy Policy outlines how our mobile application handles your information when you use our services on the Google Play Store.

## 1. Core Philosophy: On-Device Processing First

Your documents belong exclusively to you.

- All core PDF editing, viewing, merging, splitting, compressing, watermarking, converting, and OCR (Optical Character Recognition) features execute **locally on your device**.

- We **never** transmit your PDF files, documents, scanned images, or extracted text to remote external servers for storage, indexing, or profiling.

- Once you close the application, temporary processing caches are cleared according to your device's operating system storage standards.

## 2. Information We Collect and Why

### A. Camera and Image Data

* **Usage:** When you use the Document Scanner or Image-to-PDF tool, the app requests access to your camera and local photo gallery.

* **Storage & Privacy:** Photos captured with the scanner are processed on your device to create PDF files. They are never sent to our servers.

* **Control:** You can revoke camera or photo access at any time via Android Settings.

### B. Biometric and Security Credentials

* **Usage:** If you enable the PDF Vault or app lock features, the app utilizes your device's biometric authentication (fingerprint or face unlock).

* **Storage & Privacy:** Biometric authentication is performed strictly by Android's secure hardware enclave (`BiometricManager`). PDF Master never has access to, nor does it store or transmit, your raw fingerprint or facial scan data.

### C. Advertising & Third-Party Analytics

PDF Master is free to use and provides premium document tools unlocked via Google Mobile Ads (AdMob).

* **Google AdMob:** We utilize Google AdMob to serve banner, interstitial, and rewarded video ads. Google AdMob may collect and process device identifiers (such as the Google Advertising ID / GAID), coarse location, and interaction events to display relevant ads, detect fraud, and manage frequency capping.

* You can reset your Google Advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads via `Settings > Google > Ads` on your Android device.

## 3. Storage and File Permissions

PDF Master utilizes Android's scoped storage and modern Storage Access Framework (SAF).

* The app only accesses specific PDF documents and images that you explicitly choose through the file picker or share into the application.

* The app does not require broad or intrusive storage permissions (`MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE`).

* Generated documents are saved to your device's local application storage or your chosen destination folder (such as Downloads or Documents).

## 4. Children's Privacy

PDF Master does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.

We prioritize the security of your documents. Because processing occurs on your physical device, your files are protected by your device's hardware security, encryption, and your chosen passcodes or biometrics.
