Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy is provided by the PDF Element Pro Team ("we," "our," or "us").
Welcome to PDF Element Pro. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your information. This Privacy Policy explains how the application accesses, processes, and shares information when you use PDF Element Pro, including our use of third-party analytics and attribution services.
1. Information We Access and Process
PDF Element Pro is designed for document viewing, editing, conversion, scanning, and file management.
User Document & Media Data:
Documents and Files: The application accesses compatible documents (e.g., PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to provide file management, viewing, editing, and conversion functionality.
Images and Media Files: When using features such as Image to PDF, the application accesses images you select or authorize for processing.
Camera Data: When using the document scanning feature, the application accesses your device's camera to capture documents. Captured images are processed on your device to create scanned documents.
We do not sell, rent, or extract content from your documents, images, or scanned files for advertising, commercial profiling, or unrelated purposes.
Automated Data Collection (Analytics & Attribution):
When you use the application, certain technical data may be automatically collected by integrated third-party SDKs strictly for product performance monitoring and install attribution:
Device & Technical Information: Device model, operating system version, carrier, language settings, IP address, network status, and unique device identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID / GAID, OAID, or AppsFlyer ID).
Attribution & Campaign Data: Information about how you discovered and installed our app, including referring ad networks, ad campaigns, click timestamps, and install parameters.
Crash & Technical Logs: Diagnostic info, stack traces, device state, and system logs generated when the application experiences a crash or error.
2. Local File Processing
We prioritize local processing for your personal documents.
Document viewing, editing, scanning, image-to-PDF conversion, PDF-to-image conversion, and file management features are performed locally on your device. We do not upload, host, or store your personal document content, images, or scanned files on our own servers.
3. Permissions
The application requests permissions only when required for its core features:
All Files Access (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): Allows the application to locate, access, organize, and manage compatible documents stored across shared storage outside the app's private area. This permission is NOT used to transmit your documents to third parties.
Camera: Used strictly when you choose to use the document scanning feature. Captured documents are processed locally.
Photos and Media / File Access: Allows you to open, view, edit, convert, or save files and images.
4. Third-Party Services and SDKs
To measure install attribution, monitor performance, and fix software bugs, we integrate trusted third-party Software Development Kits (SDKs). These third parties collect and process technical data in accordance with their own privacy policies:
AppsFlyer (AppsFlyer Ltd.): We use AppsFlyer for install attribution, campaign performance measurement, and marketing analytics. AppsFlyer collects IP addresses, device identifiers (e.g., GAID), installation data, and in-app event interactions to help us understand which marketing channels drove app downloads.
Privacy Policy: https://www.appsflyer.com/legal/services-privacy-policy/
Google Firebase Analytics (Google LLC): We use Firebase Analytics to log app event performance and user engagement. Google processes this data to provide us with aggregated metrics and application performance insights.

Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC): We use Crashlytics to monitor application stability and collect crash reports. It automatically logs stack traces and technical device state at the moment of a crash to help us diagnose and fix issues.

5. Data Storage, Retention, and Deletion
Your Documents: We do not maintain server-side copies of your personal documents, images, or scanned files. They remain strictly on your device until you delete them.
Analytics & Attribution Data: Data collected by third-party SDKs (such as AppsFlyer and Firebase) is retained according to their respective data retention policies and legal standards.
6. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect information processed by the application. Because document processing occurs locally, the safety of your local files also relies on your device's security controls, OS updates, and screen lock settings.
7. Children's Privacy
PDF Element Pro is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the relevant legal age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take steps to address it.
8. Your Privacy Rights & Opt-Out Options
Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., GDPR in the EU, CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have rights regarding your personal data:
Device Advertising Identifier: You can reset or limit your Android Advertising ID via your device settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads).
AppsFlyer Opt-Out: You may opt-out of tracking and data collection by AppsFlyer for attribution purposes at any time by visiting the AppsFlyer Opt-Out Page (https://www.appsflyer.com/optout).
Because we do not store your documents on our servers, we cannot access or delete files stored locally on your device.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our features, integrated third-party services, or legal obligations. Updates will be indicated by the "Last Updated" date above.
