Privacy Policy for Save Gmail to PDF
Last updated: August 6, 2026
1. Overview
Save Gmail to PDF ("the Extension") is committed to respecting and protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains how data is handled by the Extension.
2. Zero Personal Data Collection
Save Gmail to PDF operates entirely on the client side inside your web browser. We do NOT collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information, email contents, email addresses, or usage analytics. Your data remains 100% private and stays on your device.
3. Explanation of Required Permissions
- "storage": Used exclusively to save your extension settings (such as preferred paper size A4/Letter) locally on your device.
- "downloads": Used solely to allow the extension to save the generated PDF file directly to your local computer's Downloads folder.
- "debugger": Used solely to programmatically invoke Chrome's built-in vector PDF generation engine (Page.printToPDF) to convert email content into high-resolution PDFs without requiring user interaction with browser print dialogs. The debugger API is only attached temporarily to internal extension tabs during PDF creation.
- "host_permissions" (https://mail.google.com/*): Used exclusively to inject the "PDF" action button into the Gmail interface and read the HTML structure of the open email you explicitly choose to convert to PDF.
4. External Services & Remote Servers
The Extension does not use any external APIs, remote servers, or third-party tracking services. All PDF rendering occurs locally using your browser's native capabilities.
5. Contact
