# Privacy Policy for PDF Toolkit
Last updated:2026/07/18
PDF Toolkit is developed by Naresh Dhami. This policy explains how the app handles information when you use it.
# Summary
PDF Toolkit works entirely on your device. It does not have user accounts, does not connect to our servers, and does not send your files, photos, or personal information anywhere. Everything you convert, crop, merge, or edit stays on your phone unless you choose to share or save it yourself.
# What the app accesses, and why
Files and documents: The app reads the PDF, Word, Excel, or image files you choose, in order to perform the conversion or editing tool you selected (merge, split, crop, compress, convert, watermark, and similar tools), and saves the result back to your device's storage.
Photos and camera: If you use a tool that scans a document or works with a photo (such as Scan Document, Image to PDF, Compress Images, or Remove Background), the app accesses your camera or photo gallery only when you actively choose to use that feature.
Storage access: The app needs broad access to your device's files so you can pick any PDF or image, from any folder, to convert or edit, and so converted files can be saved somewhere you can find them afterward.
# What the app does NOT do
It does not collect, store, or transmit your files, photos, or documents
to us or to any third party.
It does not require creating an account, logging in, or providing any
personal information.
It does not show ads.
It does not sell or share data with advertisers or data brokers.
It does not track your activity across other apps or websites.
# On-device processing
All conversions and edits (merging, splitting, compressing, converting, cropping, watermarking, background removal, and every other tool in the app) run locally on your device using on-device libraries. One feature, Remove Background, uses Google's on-device ML Kit technology, which may download a small machine-learning model file through Google Play Services the first time you use it; this model runs the segmentation on-device and
does not send your photo anywhere.
# Data sharing
We do not share any data with third parties, because we do not collect any data from you in the first place.
# Children's privacy
The app is a general-purpose document and image utility and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
# Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in the future, an updated version will be posted at this same web address, with a new "Last updated" date above.
