@gjayne84 I have an identical problem. Enabled yesterday, works in teams and outlook, works in excel/ppt/word online, but not in the desktop apps. Also, update license button missing. I assume we have the same issue.

When I go to open any excel or work files from my computer it only gives me an option to open the *online* version, not the version that opens up into a new window. I paid for all the software of microsoft, not sure why this happeneed, I am sure it is a quick fix but I have no idea what to do.

Open the excel file from the current folder, File > Save-as, then choose Excel Binary format > More options, locate the folder where you want to place the file. Now you can open the copied file without damaging existing links.

The problem is that what you want is a file-oreinted approach, while Confluence is a page-oreinted solution. It was never really intended to act like a Perforce or Sharepoint. In other words, there may need to be a relook of what the end goal is, and see how to solve it with Confluence. For example, it can be hard to get people to stop sending Word files around via email, and just put the content on a Confluence page. ;-)

I have a Word document with addresses that I need to get into a list to compare to another word document with addresses. Is there a way to get this into a list (with separate columns for "Name" and "Address") without going one by one?

Does subversion support word, excel and powerpoint documents? "support" here means having history available and I can get old version out from the subversion. It will be nice if I can diff different versions. thanks,

Is it possible to add the functionnality to copy and paste elements in revit to or from other common softwares (word or excel or autocat or any other software) like in autocad where you can copy a simple excel sheet and paste it to the software or copy an autocad drawing and paste it to word. Why is it so easy in autocad and impossible in revit?

I believe you can insert an external link (URL) in revit files. Copy-paste entire files directly into Revit would mean embedding that information into the revit file. Meaning the revit file size would increase dramatically affecting directly the speed and behaviour of the revit file. You can mimic excel tables in revit by using schedules. I've seen some lynda.com tutorials on that. Quite ingenious, involves creating some text-type parameters and the parameter values are exactly the text you need. For word texts, copy the text from word and insert it in a keynote.

GPT-4 is the latest Chat model released by OpenAI, improving upon GPT-3.5-turbo. It has better reasoning capabilities to solve complex problems and can take from 6000 to 25000 words of context, which is much larger than the previous limit of 3000 words. It is, however, slower and significantly more expensive.

I am trying to get information we have in monday.com into a board reporting pack. I was hoping to get dashboard style information into word or excel, but not one graph at a time, copying images as there is alot of information to be extracted from monday.com.

Has anyone used this in Excel yet. I did, it is pretty cool but you have to enable Office Insider in Excel first - but that is easy - Open Excel go to Account and click Office Insider button and enable(doing this in excel enables it for word, excel, ppt and outlook).

Feature request

And then - does anyone know if we can have the SKP file be linked so that if the original SKP file is updated then the SKP in Excel is updated and the calculations in excel would be updated???

Is it possible to write an IF statement that looks at a string of text, and will perform an action if the string CONTAINS a certain word? For example. IF this statement in cell A1 contains the word "dog", write "dog". Otherwise, write nothing.

Word, Excel, and PowerPoint on the web can all natively open, edit, and save Office Open XML files (docx, xlsx, pptx) as well as OpenDocument files (odt, ods, odp). They can also open the older Office file formats (doc, xls, ppt), but will be converted to the newer Open XML formats if the user wishes to edit them online. Other formats cannot be opened in the browser apps, such as CSV in Excel or HTML in Word, nor can Office files that are encrypted with a password be opened. Files with macros can be opened in the browser apps, but the macros cannot be accessed or executed.[26][27][28] Starting in July 2013, Word can render PDF documents or convert them to Microsoft Word documents, although the formatting of the document may deviate from the original.[29] Since November 2013, the apps have supported real-time co-authoring and autosaving files.[30][31]

Microsoft Office has a security feature that allows users to encrypt Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Skype Business) documents with a user-provided password. The password can contain up to 255 characters and uses AES 128-bit advanced encryption by default.[59] Passwords can also be used to restrict modification of the entire document, worksheet or presentation. Due to lack of document encryption, though, these passwords can be removed using a third-party cracking software.[60]

Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac was released on January 15, 2008. It was the only Office for Mac suite to be compiled as a universal binary, being the first to feature native Intel support and the last to feature PowerPC support for G4 and G5 processors, although the suite is unofficially compatible with G3 processors. New features include native Office Open XML file format support, which debuted in Office 2007 for Windows,[166] and stronger Microsoft Office password protection employing AES-128 and SHA-1. Benchmarks suggested that compared to its predecessor, Office 2008 ran at similar speeds on Intel machines and slower speeds on PowerPC machines.[181] Office 2008 also lacked Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) support, leaving it with only 15 months of additional mainstream support compared to its predecessor. Nevertheless, five months after it was released, Microsoft said that Office 2008 was "selling faster than any previous version of Office for Mac in the past 19 years" and affirmed "its commitment to future products for the Mac."[182] 0852c4b9a8
