PDF Maker helps you create PDFs from images, add handwritten signatures, password-protect documents and recognize text from photos. This Privacy Policy explains how information is processed when you use the App.
1. Information You Choose to Process
The App accesses images and PDF files that you select, share with it or capture using your device’s camera application.
This information may include document contents, filenames, handwritten signatures, recognized text and passwords entered to protect or open PDFs.
Document conversion, signature placement, password operations and text recognition take place on your device. We do not upload your document contents to developer-operated servers.
The App does not require you to create an account.
2. Local Storage
Created and imported PDFs are stored in the App’s private storage. Temporary images and working files may be stored in its cache.
The App also stores preferences, including PDF settings, selected avatars and banners, unlocked items, point balances and purchase-related status.
Android backup and device-transfer services may include saved PDFs and preferences, depending on your device settings and backup provider. These services operate separately from the App. See Android’s backup documentation
(https://developer.android.com/identity/data/autobackup).
3. Text Recognition and Google ML Kit
The App uses Google ML Kit for text recognition. Images and recognized text are processed on your device and are not sent to Google servers by ML Kit.
ML Kit may send technical information to Google, including device and application information, installation identifiers, performance metrics, feature usage and error information. Google uses this information to operate,
maintain and improve its services. SDK diagnostic transmissions are encrypted in transit.
Learn more in ML Kit Terms & Privacy (https://developers.google.com/ml-kit/terms) and ML Kit’s data disclosure documentation (https://developers.google.com/ml-kit/android-data-disclosure).
4. In-App Purchases
Optional point purchases are processed through Google Play Billing.
The App receives purchase information, such as product identifiers, purchase tokens, purchase status and quantities, to process purchases and credit points. Point balances and related settings are stored locally.
We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Google processes payment and related account information under its own policies. See the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
5. File Access, Camera and Sharing
The App uses Android’s system pickers to access images and documents you select. Camera capture is handled through your device’s camera application.
When you choose to share a PDF or recognized text, the selected content is passed to the application you choose. When you export a file, it is saved to your selected destination, which may include a cloud storage provider.
If you copy recognized text, it is placed on the system clipboard.
Other applications, storage providers and system services handle information according to their own policies.
6. Advertising and Data Sales
The current version does not include an advertising SDK or developer-operated behavioral analytics service.
We do not sell your personal information or document contents. Third-party service processing is described above.
7. Retention and Deletion
Saved PDFs remain in the App’s storage until you delete them or remove the App’s local data. Temporary files may be removed after use, during cleanup or by Android.
You can delete documents within the App. Clearing the App’s storage or uninstalling it generally removes its local files and preferences.
Exported files, shared copies, backups and Google Play transaction records are managed separately. Deleting a document from the App does not delete those copies or records.
We cannot remotely access or delete documents stored only on your device.
8. Security
The App uses Android’s private application storage and provides optional password protection for PDFs.
Files are not automatically password-protected. Temporary working copies, including decrypted copies needed to display protected PDFs, may be created in private cache storage.
No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
9. Children’s Privacy
The App does not require children to submit personal information or create accounts. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact [Contact Email].
10. Your Privacy Choices
You choose which files to process, whether to share or export content, and whether to use optional purchases. You can manage backup settings through your device and delete local App data through Android settings.
For privacy questions or requests concerning information you have provided directly to us, contact [Contact Email].
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App or its data practices change. Updates will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
