PDF Manager Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how we handles information when you use PDF Manager.

PDF Managerhelps users discover, organize, open, read, rename, and share PDF documents stored on their Android devices.

Our Approach to Your Documents

PDF Manager is designed around local document processing.

PDF documents are found, opened, and displayed directly on your device. We do not operate a cloud service for storing your PDFs, and we do not upload document contents to our servers.

The App may process the following information locally:

- PDF contents;

- File names and storage paths;

- File sizes and modification dates;

- Page counts and document metadata;

- Recently opened files;

- Favorites and reading progress;

- Display and reading preferences.

This information is used only to provide PDF viewing and document-management features.

We do not provide your PDF contents, file names, or reading activity to advertisers.

All Files Access

On supported Android versions,PDF Manager may request the All files access permission.

This permission is used to provide the App’s core local document library. It allows PDF Manager to:

- Find PDFs in Downloads, Documents, and user-created folders;

- Display discovered PDFs in one searchable list;

- Open documents from different storage locations;

- Rename and organize supported files;

- Read file details;

- Share documents selected by the user.

PDF Manager uses broad storage access only for user-facing PDF discovery and management. The App is designed to identify supported PDF documents rather than inspect unrelated personal content.

Document contents discovered through storage access are not uploaded to us or provided to Google AdMob.

You can revoke All files access through Android settings. If permission is revoked, automatic PDF discovery and some document-management features may no longer work.

Background PDF Scanning

When you open or refresh the local document library, PDF Manager may scan permitted storage locations for PDF files.

On devices containing many files or folders, the scan may continue after PDF Manager moves to the background. In this situation, the App may use a foreground service and display a persistent notification showing that scanning is in progress.

The foreground service:

- Starts in response to a user-requested scan or refresh;

- Processes file information locally;

- Displays a visible notification;

- May provide a cancellation option;

- Stops when the scan finishes, fails, or is cancelled.

The foreground service is not used for advertising, tracking, or uploading documents.

Notifications

PDF Manager may request notification permission to display:

- PDF scanning progress;

- Completed or failed scan information;

- File-operation status;

- Important App notices.

You can disable notifications through Android settings. Disabling notifications may affect the visibility of background document operations.

Sharing Documents

PDF Manager shares a document only after you select the file and initiate the sharing action.

When you share a PDF with another app, service, platform, or person, the receiving party’s privacy practices apply. We do not control what recipients do with files you choose to share.

Advertising

PDF Manager uses Google AdMob, provided by Google LLC, to display advertisements.

The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect or process:

- IP address and approximate location derived from the IP address;

- Android Advertising ID;

- App Set ID and other device identifiers;

- Device manufacturer and model;

- Operating-system version and device language;

- App name and version;

- App launches and interactions;

- Advertisement impressions, views, and clicks;

- Diagnostic and performance information;

- Information used to detect fraud, abuse, and invalid advertising traffic.

Google may use this information to deliver advertisements, measure advertising performance, maintain its services, prevent fraud, and personalize advertising where permitted.

PDF Manager does not send PDF contents, file names, storage paths, reading history, favorites, or document metadata to Google AdMob.

Advertising Choices

Depending on your location, eligibility, device settings, Google account settings, and consent choices, AdMob may display personalized, non-personalized, or limited advertisements.

You may manage eligible advertising choices by:

- Opening the privacy options available in PDF Manager;

- Visiting https://adssettings.google.com/;

- Resetting or deleting your Android Advertising ID;

- Changing advertising preferences in your Google account.

Turning off personalized advertising does not remove all advertisements.

Where required, users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland will be shown a consent or privacy-choice message. Eligible users can review, reject, or withdraw consent for personalized advertising.

Information We Do Not Collect

PDF Manager does not require you to provide your name, phone number, postal address, or payment information.

The App does not require registration and does not maintain an online user profile connected to your documents.

We do not knowingly collect or upload:

- PDF contents;

- File names;

- Reading history;

- Favorites;

- Document passwords;

- Contacts;

- Precise location;

- Messages or call history.

Advertising-related information may still be processed by Google AdMob as explained above.

Data Retention

PDF documents remain in their original storage locations until you move or delete them.

Local information such as reading history, favorites, preferences, cached pages, and temporary scan results remains on your device until you:

- Remove it through an available App option;

- Clear PDF Manager’s storage through Android settings;

- Uninstall PDF Manager.

Files saved outside the App’s private storage may remain after the App is uninstalled.

Advertising information is retained by Google according to Google’s own policies.

If you contact us for support, we may retain your email address, message, and voluntarily provided information for as long as reasonably necessary to answer your request, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations.

Please do not attach confidential documents to support messages unless necessary.

Deleting Your Information

PDF Manager does not provide user accounts, so there is no online account requiring a separate deletion process.

You can delete local information by:

- Deleting PDF files through PDF Manager or a file manager;

- Clearing recent files, favorites, or history where these options are available;

- Clearing the App’s storage through Android settings;

- Uninstalling PDF Manager;

- Resetting or deleting your Android Advertising ID.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect information handled through PDF Manager.

Local document processing reduces unnecessary transmission of document contents. Google states that information transmitted through the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit.

No device, application, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should protect access to your device and maintain backups of important documents.

Children’s Privacy

PDF Manager is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required by local law.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information directly to us, contact us so that we can review and delete it where required.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide rights to:

- Request access to personal information;

- Correct inaccurate information;

- Request deletion;

- Restrict or object to processing;

- Withdraw consent;

- Request data portability;

- Opt out of eligible personalized advertising or data sharing;

- Submit a complaint to a data-protection authority.

Most document information remains locally on your device and can be managed directly by you.
