PDF Tools (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the PDF Tools mobile application handles information when you use its PDF management features, including viewing, merging, splitting, compressing, converting, organizing, and sharing PDF files.

1. Information We Process

PDF Tools may process the following information only when you choose to use a related feature:

• PDF files and other documents that you select from your device.

• Images or files that you choose to convert into a PDF.

• File names, file sizes, page counts, and basic document metadata needed to display or process your files.

• Storage locations that you choose when opening, saving, importing, exporting, or sharing files.

2. How Your Files Are Used

Your selected files are used solely to provide the feature you request. For example, a file may be read to merge pages, split a document, reduce file size, convert its format, or create a new PDF.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise in the app, file processing takes place locally on your device. We do not upload, view, read, store, or share the contents of your documents on our servers.

3. Permissions

PDF Tools may request access to files, media, photos, or device storage. These permissions are used only to:

• Let you select documents and images for processing.

• Save generated or edited PDF files to your device.

• Allow you to export or share files when you request it.

You may deny or revoke permissions at any time through your device settings. Some features may not work correctly without the required permission.

4. Data Collection and Sharing

PDF Tools does not collect, sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information or document contents with third parties.

We do not access your contacts, messages, call history, location, microphone, camera, or other personal device data unless a feature clearly requires it and you grant permission.

5. File Storage and Deletion

Files created or saved through PDF Tools remain on your device or in the storage location you select. You control those files and may delete them at any time using PDF Tools or your device’s file manager.

Deleting the app may not automatically delete files that you saved outside the app’s private storage. Please remove saved files manually if you no longer want to keep them.

6. Third-Party Services

PDF Tools does not use third-party services to process the content of your documents. If a future version introduces services such as cloud storage, analytics, advertising, or crash reporting, this Privacy Policy will be updated before or when those services are made available.

7. Children’s Privacy

PDF Tools is not intended to collect personal information from children. Because documents are processed locally on the device, we do not knowingly collect personal information from users under the age of 13.

8. Security

We use device-local processing to help protect your files and privacy. However, no method of electronic storage is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting access to your device and the files stored on it.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted in the app or on the app’s listing page. Your continued use of PDF Tools after an update means you accept the revised Privacy Policy.
