When you select a local PDF file, all processing required for the "Thumbnail Ribbon" and background rendering is performed locally on your device. When you cast a document, the bitmap data is streamed directly from your phone to your casting device (e.g., Chromecast) over your local Wi-Fi network.
No data from your local documents ever leaves your local network environment. We do not collect, transmit, or store the contents of your PDF files on our servers.
Please Note: While PDF Cast is designed for offline use, certain features (such as Google Drive integration, checking for in-app purchase status, or fetching remote updates) may require an active internet connection. When these features are used, minimal data may be transmitted to established third-party services (like Google Play Services) to complete the request. This data is managed according to their respective privacy policies.
At this time, PDF Cast does not serve advertisements.
However, we integrate and use trusted third-party services, such as Google Play Services, to ensure essential app functionality and provide our service. These services may collect information used to identify your device. This data collection is managed by them, not by PDF Cast.
