Who Are We

The Planning and Development Division (PDD) is a support arm to the Office of the Minister, dedicated to leading the formulation, monitoring and evaluation, and development initiatives of the Ministry.

Anchored in the Ministry’s functional statement No. 1, that is “formulating, developing, and implementing social welfare and development plans, programs, and projects on the basis of both the rights and needs of the people”, the PDD leads the formulation, monitoring, evaluation, and development of Ministry’s social welfare plans and initiatives.

PDD aspires to be the think tank of the Ministry, taking the lead for effective program ideation, guiding strategic implementation, and championing innovative solutions that advances the Ministry's goal forward.
