I have Windows 7-64bit installed successfully on my Intel NUC NUC6I7KYK. I have all the drivers installed except one, which is the 'PCI Simple Communications Controller' driver. I'm guessing this is the Intel Management Engine (Intel ME) driver.

However I am unable to find this driver for my Intel NUC NUC6I7KYK. I've checked the link at: But the Intel NUC NUC6I7KYK is not in the valid products list. I'm not sure why there are windows 7 drivers for everything else on the NUC6I7KYK except the PCI Simple Communications Controller. If anyone could point me to a link to download this driver I would be very appreciated. Thank you.

The hardware interface identified as the "PCI Simple Communications Controller" is actually that for the Intel Management Engine (ME). It is the Management Engine Interface (MEI) driver that you need to install. To save you time, here are links to the download pages for the latest versions of this driver:

I understand that you installed a new Operating System. Did you install Windows 7, or did you upgrade from Windows 7 to a different Operating System? I recommend using the Recovery Manager to restore the drivers. You can review these documents to help you, if needed:

I installed a new windows and it is windows 7. I mistakenly deleted the old.winsdows folder where there were all the driver files in it. I dont know if I use the recovery it would help since the old.windows is deleted.

Hello I used the link you suggested but the problem is not solved yet, also the windows 7 cannot solve the issue and is asking to be connected to the internet. Since my PCI controller and Bus controller do not work I cannot connect to the Internet to solve the issue and I have to use another computer, find the drivers and put them on usb and try to install them on the Laptop.

This one should work for your notebook...Directly from the Realtek site, as the card reader drivers for the 250 G1, G2 and G3 are too old (for Windows 8.1 only), and the SD card reader may not work with those.

I have a HP laserJet P1102. When I want to install its driver it seems that it need to pci simple communication controller be installed. How to install that pci simple communication controller for my Win 7 32-bit please? The only error in my device manager window is that the pci simple communication controller is not installed. When I plug the USB of that printer it wants to install the pci simple communication controller but it can't!From "dxdiag" I found that my system manufacturer is "ECS" and the system model is "945p /pl-A"

Installing the printer requires additional software. You can download these from www.hp.com. Search for your printer there and download the drivers. Then run the setup.exe and when it asks you to plugin the usb controller do so.

Hi, I have a solution. If you go in device manager, click on the pci simple communications controller, go in property and then go in details. You will see a code like per example PCI/VEN_8086&DEV_27D8&SUBSYS...

In my case the pci simple communications controller was a Microsoft UAA Bus HD audio. I also had another pci device that didn't work properly, using the same method I found out that my pci device was an HSF PCI internal modem with code number CX11252-11. I had a hard time downloading one of the drivers, after 6 or 7 times the download started so be patient if you have the same hardware.

RE: PCI Simple Communications Controller for Windows 2000 Pro ashpp (IS/IT--Management)4 Nov 02 20:07Yup its by Smart Modular Technologies and its called a Riptide. Did you try that driver? (If its not the correct one it won't install it). It worked fine for a 8750 I had. If that one doesn't work try

RE: PCI Simple Communications Controller for Windows 2000 Pro netek (TechnicalUser)(OP)5 Nov 02 17:34thanks ash,, I'll try the drivers tonite and I'll let you know how it went... RE: PCI Simple Communications Controller for Windows 2000 Pro pundle (TechnicalUser)8 Nov 02 10:26Well I didn't know what I was in for when I upraded from 98SE to W2K. Perhaps I shoulda looked at this thread first.

Upgrade because I couldn't get 98 to recognise my Digital Camera on the USB ports.

Now that works fine with W2K but surprise surprise the effin' modem won't work.

I have a Via Technologies mobo and an internal Askey Comp Corp PCI modem

It was previously working fine with the standard Conexant drivers on 98 but neither these or the 'Pucker' ones downloaded from Askey seem to work with W2K.

What in heavens name is the PCI Simple Communications Controller and what does it do?

Theres a pint in it for anyone with the correct annswer.

p.s. As the modem wont play I won't see an answer except at work. mon - fri 8 - 6 RE: PCI Simple Communications Controller for Windows 2000 Pro tlcscousin (TechnicalUser)8 Nov 02 11:48PCI simple communications controller is the modem. Reinstall the drivers for the pci simple communications controller and point to the modem drivers. If you have the proper drivers, after the controller is added it will find and install the modem itself. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1406030581151-2'); }); Red Flag This PostPlease let us know here why this post is inappropriate. PCI communications controller is an interface that allows the modem to communicate with your computer. Your system needs to have a PCI simple communications controller Driver installed in order to work properly.

Manually updating drivers can be time-consuming and there is always a possibility of downloading the wrong drivers that can destabilize your system. Using a good and reliable Driver Update Tool can often be your best option.

Hello,

I recently reinstalled the OS on a Dell Optiplex 755 and unfortunately, I don't have the drivers disc for this computer. I was able to install drivers for all of the hardware components except I could not find the drivers for the "PCI Simple Communications Controller" Could someone help me locate this driver?

I think this missing driver may be contributing to an issue with the PC's ability to connect to the internet at full strength. I am using an Encore Wireless Router in the upstairs portion of a home and the wireless signal reaches as far as the office downstairs but the the connection is very slow. Just says the signal strength is low.

Is there a way strengthen the signal from the router or from the Linksys Wireless adapter on the computer its brand new.

Sorry this is a question 1a and 1b scenario. Thank you in advance!

I have a similar experience on some HP boxes here. So it might be a parallel situation (or completely unrelated). I nmy case I beleive it is related to the AHCI driver. In HP's case they do not seem to keep this with all the other driver for a particular model, but somewhere off by itself (perhaps it is common to all models). Every time I need it I have to hunt it down again.

You might try this link and see if one of these drivers solves your issue. Otherwise Dell has great online support (at least IMO)... so if you just get online support and tell them, they will link you directly to the driver you need... shouldn't take you more than 10 minutes.

Justin, are you using Windows 7 or windows xp on the workstation? We have 755's here and sometimes not all of the drivers are listed in the right place. When you choose your OS it'll show a you a view of drivers specific to the OS, sometimes there are drivers that you might need in the "all files" tab.

In cases like this, I'll download Drivermax (http:/ Opens a new window/www.drivermax.com) and then let it find any unknown hardware. It does a good job of recognizing the hardware and finding what you need.

I agree with Owenmpk to some extent about over thinking this. I provided a link directly to the model he needs with the entire chipset drivers. We have about 2 dozen of these models around here, that's all it is. Rafi is right, but that's a lot more work than whats needed. Dell is also the best at providing OEM drivers, I'd much rather use their site than 3rd party finders.

Yes i have and on Business grade systems the support is fine, As a consultant I do not have the time to discover the non-standard way of getting drivers. And like others have said go the website enter the Service Tag and pick your OS and you will find what you need. And Sam5371 has posted the install order that can be found on the website. 2351a5e196
