# Payweft Privacy Policy

Payweft (“the extension”) helps you capture receipts and bills in your browser. This policy describes what
data is processed, where it stays, and what third parties may see when you use optional paid features.
## Data stored locally
Receipt and bill content you add (including text extracted with on-device OCR), parsed fields (totals,
categories, due dates, merchants), and your settings are stored in `chrome.storage.local` on
your device. This includes financial-related information you choose to save (for example transaction totals).
Payweft does not operate a Payweft-owned cloud database for this core vault data in the default
configuration.
If you use the context-menu action “Send selection to Payweft,” only the text you highlighted
is copied briefly into `chrome.storage.session` so the side panel can open it for you to review
and save. That content is not sent to Payweft’s servers for parsing.
## Payments — ExtensionPay
If you subscribe to Payweft Pro (for example, a monthly paid plan) through
ExtensionPay (https://extensionpay.com/), ExtensionPay and its payment
processor (Stripe) handle payment transactions. Payweft’s extension communicates with ExtensionPay to
confirm whether your subscription or purchase is active. That process is governed by
ExtensionPay’s privacy policy (https://extensionpay.com/privacy) and Stripe’s
policies as applicable.
## Payments — Stripe on your own site
If the developer configures a separate Stripe Checkout flow, your card data is processed by Stripe and the
developer’s systems—not by Payweft directly. The extension may store a Pro status and optional local
expiry timestamp that the developer sets after a successful purchase.
## Network access
The free OCR engine (Tesseract) and language data load from files bundled inside the extension; OCR runs
locally. ExtensionPay features require network access to `https://extensionpay.com`.
## Permissions
The extension requests Chrome permissions needed for storage, optional notifications, alarms for bill
reminders and subscription sync, the side panel, context menus, and ExtensionPay integration. It does not
read your full browsing history, keystrokes, or unrelated passwords as part of its core design.
## How we use data
Data you save is used only to provide the extension’s features (capture, vault, dashboard, optional
reminders). Payweft does not sell your saved receipt or bill content. Payweft does not use your vault data
to determine creditworthiness or for lending.
## Children
Payweft is not directed at children under 13.
