PaySathi – UPI Split & QR ("PaySathi", "we", "our", or "us") is a utility application that helps users create and manage UPI payment instructions, split payment amounts into smaller parts, scan UPI QR codes, and generate UPI QR codes and payment links.
This Privacy Policy explains how PaySathi handles information when you use the application.
PaySathi is designed to minimize the collection of personal information.
Depending on the features you use, the application may process:
When you manually enter or scan payment information, the app may process information such as:
• UPI ID (Virtual Payment Address)
• Merchant or recipient name, when available
• Payment amount
• Payment reference information contained in a UPI QR code, when applicable
• Generated payment links and QR information
• Local payment-part status
This information is used only to provide the application's payment-splitting and QR-generation functionality.
PaySathi may request camera permission to scan UPI QR codes.
Camera access is used only when you choose to use the QR scanning feature. PaySathi does not use the camera for continuous background monitoring.
PaySathi does not request or collect:
• UPI PIN
• OTP
• Debit or credit card numbers
• Bank account passwords
• Internet banking credentials
• ATM PIN
• Biometric authentication information
Users should never enter such confidential information into PaySathi.
Information processed by PaySathi may be used to:
• Read information from a UPI QR code
• Create UPI payment links
• Generate payment QR codes
• Calculate payment splits
• Display merchant/payment details
• Track locally generated payment parts
• Provide sharing and payment-app launching functionality
• Improve the basic functionality and reliability of the application
Payment and merchant information may be stored locally on your device to provide features such as saved merchant details, payment sessions, and local payment-part tracking.
This locally stored information is not intended to be transmitted to our servers.
You can remove locally stored application data by using the application's available delete/reset options or by clearing the application's data through your device settings.
PaySathi does not sell or rent your personal information.
When you choose to open a UPI payment link in another UPI application, or share a QR code/payment link using your device's sharing functionality, information may be provided to the third-party application or recipient that you choose.
Those third-party applications operate under their own privacy policies and terms. PaySathi does not control how those third parties process information.
PaySathi does not process or settle payments.
The application only prepares UPI payment instructions, QR codes, and payment links. When you choose to make a payment, the transaction is handled through the UPI application and financial institution selected by you.
PaySathi does not have access to your UPI PIN, OTP, bank password, card details, or banking credentials.
PaySathi also does not independently confirm whether a recipient's bank account has received a payment.
Any payment status displayed by PaySathi may represent a local application state, such as generated, opened, returned, manually completed, or expired.
Such status must not be considered independent confirmation that a payment has been successfully settled.
Users should verify the payment status through their chosen UPI application, bank, or other official transaction source.
We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by the application.
Because PaySathi is designed primarily as a local utility, payment-related information may remain on your device rather than being transmitted to our servers.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
PaySathi may interact with third-party UPI applications installed on your device when you choose to make or continue a payment.
PaySathi may also use Android system functionality for QR scanning, sharing, and opening compatible applications.
Third-party applications and services have their own privacy policies and data practices. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of services you use.
PaySathi is a general-purpose utility application and is not specifically directed toward children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through PaySathi.
If you believe that personal information has been provided to us improperly, please contact us using the contact information below.
Because PaySathi is designed to use local storage for applicable payment and merchant information, information may remain on the user's device until it is deleted through the application's available controls or the application data is cleared/uninstalled.
We do not retain payment information on our own servers unless a future version of the application introduces a feature that requires server-side storage. If such functionality is introduced, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the application, technology, legal requirements, or our data practices.
Any updated Privacy Policy will be made available through the application's privacy policy page.
