1. Introduction
Pawsight (“the App”) is provided by us. We respect your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
2. What We Collect
• Camera Access: The App requires access to your device’s camera to process images in real time. Camera input is processed on your device.
• Photos/Videos Access: If you choose to convert a video, the App reads a selected video from your photo library, makes a temporary local copy, processes it on device, and writes an output file locally. We do not upload your media to our servers.
• Analytics (Firebase Analytics): We use Google Firebase Analytics to collect aggregated app usage data (e.g., screen views, device model, OS version, app version, session data, approximate region). See “Third-Party Services” below.
• Diagnostics (Apple, optional): If you opt in to share analytics with developers in system settings, Apple may provide anonymized crash logs and diagnostics to us.
We do not collect names, email addresses, account credentials, or precise location through the App.
3. How We Use Information
• Provide and operate the App’s core functionality, including camera-based visual processing and optional video conversion on device.
• Improve stability and performance using aggregated analytics and diagnostics.
• Understand general app usage trends (e.g., which screens are used) to guide improvements.
4. Data Storage and Transfers
• On-Device Processing: Camera input and video processing occur on your device. We do not transmit your media to our servers.
• Temporary Files: Temporary working files are created locally during video conversion and may be removed by the system or by you. Output files are saved locally and remain under your control.
• Servers: We do not operate backend servers for this App to store your personal content.
5. Data Sharing
• We do not sell or rent personal data.
• We may share data if required by law, to protect our rights, or to comply with legal processes.
6. Third-Party Services
• Google Firebase Analytics (Google LLC): Used for aggregated usage analytics. Firebase may collect device identifiers (e.g., Instance ID), app version, OS version, region, and event data. Data is used to provide analytics reports and help us improve the App.
• Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
• Firebase Privacy & Security: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
• Data Collection Controls: You can limit ad personalization/analytics in your device settings and within your Google account where applicable.
If we add additional third-party services (e.g., Crashlytics, AdMob, Sentry, RevenueCat), we will update this policy.
7. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your Choices and Controls
• Camera & Photos Permissions: You can grant or revoke access in your device Settings at any time. Without camera access, live processing will not work; without Photos access, video conversion will not work.
• Analytics Opt-Out:
• iOS/iPadOS/macOS: You may limit analytics and ad personalization in system privacy settings.
• Google Analytics controls: See https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads and your Google account ad settings.
• Delete Local Files: You can delete any output videos created by the App using the Files app or Photos app.
9. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information processed by the App. Because we do not upload your media to our servers, exposure risk is reduced. Always keep your device and OS up to date.
10. International Users
Firebase Analytics may process data on servers located outside your country. See Google’s privacy policy for details on transfers and safeguards.
11. Legal Bases (GDPR/UK GDPR)
Where applicable, our legal bases include:
• Legitimate Interests: To measure usage and improve the App (analytics).
• Consent: Where required by your jurisdiction for analytics or device permissions (camera/photos), your granting of permissions constitutes consent. You may withdraw consent by changing settings.
Your Rights (where applicable): access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability. Contact us to exercise these rights.
12. California Privacy (CCPA/CPRA)
We do not sell or share personal information as defined by California law. California residents may have rights to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to limit use of sensitive information. Contact us to exercise these rights.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the latest version on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
