I am a PhD student in economics at Technical University Berlin (TU) and the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK). There I am affiliated to both the Policy Evaluation Lab as well as the CERES Project.
Currently, I primarily work on causal inference and climate policy. My main interest lies in improving policy making by using rigorous methods. This includes work on causal inference methods in econometrics (especially causal graphs and policy evaluation), backed up by philosophy of science (especially causality and methodology of the social sciences) and applied to climate economics (especially carbon pricing, innovation, labor markets, and green industrial policy). I have also co-authored a textbook on the history of thought in political economy. In any case, I'm always eager to learn from other sciences, scientists and practitioners.
